The Asus 10.6.1.8 update to Jelly bean 4.2 OS remove my root access today. This is how I solved my problem.
Here is a copy for TWRP with the password that locks you out of the program removed. I tried the 2.5.0.0 JB then, the 2.5.0.0. 42 versions
of TWRP but to no avail. I found a link somewhere here today from the team at TWRP that included a copy of ADB/fastboot; it worked.
Once recovery was restored I installed "root-sign.zip & UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.25.zip" at the same time. My root returned to normal.
Thanks again to the Team at TWRP.
Enjoy.
