Smart stay works and so does palm swipe. Great rom so far.

Anyway to make torch work from the lockscreen like 1.8?

Yeah loserskater got the built in lockscreen torch working but it seems to cause random wakelocks. Still working on it but will be in the next release.

I got reboots on the latest rom... so im back to s3rx 4.1.2 and was getting reboots with the att kernel.. so I changed to the stock one and no moe reboots... maybe on the 4.3 rom the att was causing them reboots?

For me this has been the best stock ROM 4.3, great battery and fluency results, my only question is: how I can increase the range of wifi on the device, as I have very poor signal, and the signal in 4.1.2 the same site was higher

There is a problem with the CRT screen off affect.

Make or receive a phone call, hold the handset close to ear as how it is intended, the screen turns off as it should (the proximity sensor kicks in). Now move the phone away from your ear, and observe the phone, the screen will do the CRT off affect very fast, then turns back on again. This happens 100% of the time. Please fix, or do we have any way to disable the CRT screen off affect?

Yeah wifi sucks on 4.3. I'm afraid that is beyond my ability to fix. They did something with the bootloaders and the kernel regarding the way wifi works now.

Well... I just tried to replicate the issue you are having. I can't reproduce it. I noticed what kinda looked liked the crt effect when screen turned back on but it was so fast... IDK. I made 3 phone calls and only saw it once, every other time it just shut off or turned on.

But if you open the build.prop you will see 2 lines at the bottom of the prop that read

# CRT
persist.sys.screen_on=none
persist.sys.screen_off=crt

You can change it to none, fade, or crt. Obviously "none" turns it off.

You might need to check out the undervolting and increase it to 900-950 mv, if it's lower than that. Not every CPU can handle same undervolting so it causes reboot.

I recommend staying in this version or go back to 4.1.2, I really like the 4.3 and I congratulate you for the great work, but only what is the wifi does not convince me of the version 4.3

Thanks, I edited the build.prop file to have persist.sys.screen_off=none now. Works like champ, no more weird behavior now.

As to why you can't reproduce it, and I'm able to reproduce 100%, it's probably Wanam Xposed configuration related? In any case, I am happy without that gimmicky CRT off affect:)

I just thought I'd put this here to help out others, like me, who have an i747 but are on the T-Mobile network and would like wifi calling .

I used the bootloader and modem from the S3Rx for i747 thread, not the official bootloader and modem but the first one listed there. Then I flashed the ROM from this thread (version 3.0) followed by the kernel mentioned in the OP.

I've been using it for about 12 hours and everything seems to be working great. Including Wi-Fi calling.

Changing Boot animation

Ive tried traditional methods of changing the Boot Animation on this rom..
Ive tried Rom toolbox, and swapping out the BootAnimation.zip out of the System/media directory..

nothing seems to work..
Im sure this has been asked before, but I could not find anything relevant..

@enewman my wife loves this rom on her t999. It seems to have everything we use and runs great for her. Only thing I could think of is adding the red underline spell check mod.
Still running stockorama v2 on my i747 because I modded that one myself.

    5. Needs testing but I resigned the AccessT-Mobile app so it shouldn't be recognized by the market. So since this version should be safe form the update you can choose to use it or uninstall it.

    Known issues
    1. Screen off torch light is buggy. It will work fine within 3 seconds of the screen being turned off. If it works perfect for you no matter when you turned the screen off then it is creating the wakelock and you may experience some extra battery draw. *A reboot will get rid of the wakelock*
    2. Battery MOD my be a little funky till you mess with the settings. *It might also be slow to open, as we add more icons it will get slower*
    3. Tell us if you notice anything else.

    GPS issues?


    GPS not locking: Unfortunately This is going to happen to some when coming from AOSP based ROMs and other carrier ports.

    A couple common fixes include...

    ==============================================================

    1. Easiest and most reliable way. Try this first!
    • Enter the Samsung service mode by typing this code into the dial pad *#197328640#
    • Then go to Mainmenu>UMTS>Common>NV REBUILD>NV REBUILD> (Important: don't exit the menu yet!)
    • Wait 30+ sec
    • Long press power button and select "Restart / Reboot"
    • Now check your GPS from any software that may use GPS like "Maps" or "GPS Status"...
    ==============================================================

    2. Returning to the stock ROM via ODIN, acquire a GPS lock then reboot into Recovery.. Wipe and Flash new ROM.
    I recommend trying Chainfire's MOBILE ODIN first before the desktop version, it's really easy to use and it's free to XDA users HERE.
    You can flash an ODIN package right from your phone and still retain your custom recovery, simply exclude it from the list of partitions to flash.
    It will also inject ROOT if the ODIN package does not already have it... makes things really simple.

    3. Restoring a nandroid of a TouchWiz ROM with a known working GPS status, make sure all location services are enables and can obtain a GPS lock. (go to additional steps now if needed) Reboot, Wipe and Flash New ROM...
    Additional steps if required before flashing new ROM:
    Backup your internal storage and take out your sd-card now... just in case stuff gets deleted. Do a Factory Reset form within the restored TW nandroid. Reboot... Skip all the setup stuff... acquire a GPS lock again... Reboot into recovery Wipe and Flash the new ROM.

    4. Flash back to the AOSP ROM you were just on. Obtain a GPS lock, then reinstall ROM again and see if GPS works

    5. Repeat until one of the options ends up working... Not much else to tell you to try. Good luck!

    GPS and Location Services: If you have Google Maps installed and Google Now, you will notice Maps uses your location services a lot during the day. Apparently Google thinks we need our location tracked 24/7. Turning GPS on only when needed will help eliminate the wakelocks created by maps. Going a step further you may also want to disable the "Use Network Location", This will also stop other apps form getting your location... Most apps will let you enter your location manually so it's not really a big deal turning it off, especially when your talking about increasing your battery life.

    • debloated, but not too much.
    • Knox free with Selinux set to permissive.
    • Insecure boot.img with adb root permissions.
    • init.d support, nothing was added but it works.
    • Note2 keyboard, because it uses Swift Key flow. Its really nice and works very well and actually adds functionality.
    • Updated Xposed, Wanam and Loser Modules.
    • Replaced Clock package with the new 4.4 clock. Works great and gives you the clock dream, which I simply love. Orginal clockpackage is renamed with .bak but still in the system folder
    • CM4.4 Calculator, light and dark holo theme available in the calc settings. TW calc is renamed .bak but is still in the system folder
    • Modded SecMms.apk
    • 4 Way reboot
