Idk if it is the towers in my area, but I have one bar in an area that is usually full service, also in another nearby city is the same result. A friend has a 3g phone and he has 4 bars. The towers are said to be updated to 4g within the next 2 months, but I don't know if that would affect my service, last night I had all bars on a stock TW setup.

On the 2/21 build.

Tapin' the Talk on GNote ii

Cm reports the signal differently.

You should check the dBm and asu signal strength between ROMs, not the bars. There really shouldn't be a difference though.

Update installation aborted. Trouble mounting sdcard.

I'm running the latest nightlies and have had problems updating from the internal sd for the last week or so. When I use the usual updater, it brings up CWM (6.2.0.5) automatically, which says:

E: Can't mount /sdcard/0/cmupdater/_name_of_image_
Update installation aborted!

(Where _name_of_image_ is the name of the nightly image. And that's not the exact message, just a close paraphrase. Sorry.)

If I "install zip from sdcard"->choose zip from sdcard, I get:

E: Can't mount /sdcard/

If I try to mount sdcard from the "mounts and storage" menu, I get the same thing. But if I copy the image to my external card, CWM has no problems flashing from there. Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks,
Steve Bergman

I remember seeing a commit in the changelog a few days ago that had to do with the reboot options in the power menu, then I just realized they're not there now... only reboot and power off with no option to reboot to recovery, bootloader, etc. were they removed? I have it ticked off in power menu options and for the life of me can't figure out how to get them back. I'm on latest 2/21 nightly too btw

Just curious on what others think: Do you feel that graphic intense games run as smooth here as they do with TouchWiz ROMs?

Using the latest nightly and I have no issues with GPS while my Wireless Network Location is enabled. I don't know if that is by chance or if because it is in fact fixed.

The way you can tell if the commit went through is if you have an option for assisted GPS under Location settings menu. If it's not there, the commit didn't go through.

Does anyone know about the SD Card Swap script

Hello, I have seen this script - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2111575 It is supposed to swap the internal with the external card and give more memory to internal storage to run the apps.

Does anyone know if this works with CM10

Is is possible to have this as an add on Zip.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry - I had to add something.
I have used the touchwiz based Beans ROM - in which this appears to be a baked in option - and works great.

Just use the script with an app that allows you to do so such as Script Manager....no need for them to implement it really. It doesn't actually swap them but makes the OS believe that the our external mem is the internal basically.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Progress is being made. My 10.2 builds are compiling OK now. I can flash and boot to the homescreen but anything I try to launch causes a soft reboot.
Mine do the same and I have no cell signal. I think I messed up loading the props. Let me know if you make any progress or maybe slickrick will shine some light on the subject
Pick these 4 commits and you should be good.

Thank you sbrissen for developing for this awesome device and all of our donators who made it possible! None of this would have happened without you guys :)

You will lose S Pen and other Touchwiz functionality if you flash this but here is how you can get some of that functionality back!
    1. S Pen works (try out the app Papyrus as a replacement to S Note, Papyrus does utilize the S Pen button as well).
    2. Air View works (Go to settings, Language & input, check "Show icon when using stylus".
    3. The S Pen button works (Go to settings, Language & input, Stylus gestures, those all use the s pen button).
    4. Pop up browser = OverSkreen from the Google Play Store.
    5. I use the 4.2 Camera on Touchwiz anyway. There are plenty of good camera apps in the market if you want more features.
    6. Multiwindow. There is no alternative, dont ask.
And here's some alternatives to Touchwiz apps (PM me if you want me to add something!)
    Code:
    [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myboyfriendisageek.stickit"]Stick it! (Pop-up Player)[/URL]
[URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clov4r.android.nil&hl=en"]MoboPlayer[/URL]- It's another very capable, free video player with floating player functionality. Plus its free!

If you want to come chat about this alpha release, join us on IRC channel #t0ltecdma on freenode.

DO NOT USE 20121011 GAPPS OR YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES, USE 20121212 GAPPS.

If you want to downgrade back to a 4.1.x ROM, flash the restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip attached below AFTER flashing back to 4.1.x ROM. Your storage situation will be how it was pre-CM10.1 flash. Thanks to madmack for the file.

alright, I'm good with the phone logs. I submitted a change for speaker phone and it got merged so tonight's should have MOAR VOLUMEZ on speaker.

Still working on BT and gps.

and still looking for logs of apps where the mic isn't working.

I'll be starting a cm10.2 thread shortly. For anyone thinking of flashing back to 10.1, not going to happen unless you do a clean install so backup first! A couple databases were updated and cannot be reverted.
