No overclocking
Swap - 256 mb
It worked really nice for me
Oh and I cleared dalvik-cache every morning...seemed to help speed it up

Right now, well its slow because I've been messing with the system files and semibricked it twice, so there's a bunch of junk:p

Gimme some suggestions to add to the rom
I'm thinking of resetting the sliders to stock....should I?

Edit: Forget it I'm gonna make a new rom from source :D

Edit 2: ahh whatever ill try keep both up:D
And the building from source really depends on how much my computer likes me and if it let's me build:D
Keep getting connection errors-_-

Edit 3: screw it looks like froyo can't be built for g1 anymore I guess
Well and I'm quitting this rom too, its a waste of my time....lol
MAYBE, if I figure out how, ill make a 1.0 rom :D...I'm gonna downgrade

HI!
It will be awesome if you make a better ROM than this rom but please don't remove the Calendar! It is very usefull for many people!

Thanks!

I appreciate your effort on reviving the ROM, it is a really good base, perhaps starting a new thread would get more attention, and we dont want to confuse the rest of froyobylaszlo users, keep it up!:)

Ah, I'm done:p
I don't think I'm gonna work on it anymore.
I just have been tweaking it too much for myself. And what I got right now, well I'm not sure others would like it. The ROM won't get any better:p. Maybe some other day I'll see. But I'm not a real dev or anything. I'm just tweaking it up a bit. I'm not building from source or anything. I can't. First of all, the froyo source isn't downloading because the kernel is not downloading (due to the kernel.org hack), and no one is updating the froyo branch to wherever the kernel is now. And my computer is too weak:D. So I'm done for now. Maybe I'll do something later like my mod + a new theme. Then it'll be something and I'll make a thread.
/rant off
I edited the post to make it clear its not an official update to the ROM or anything.

I have tried on multiple occasions to install this on my MyT3g 1.2, but nothing happens. I use Ohsaka Super wipe V2 and also manually wipe dalvik, ext part, everything. Every time i try to load the rom, it just sits in the HTC Magic screen and nothing. I let it sit for 30 minutes and nothing happened. Any ideas guys?

You most likely don't have the correct radio and spl
Requirements:
SPL: 1.33.0013d (hboot)

RADIO: 2.22.27.08 / 28.25
look at this thread on how to install it: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=831139
Wait, since you have a 1.2 look here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=10692873#post10692873

NOTICE THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL UPDATE TO THIS ROM
ITS JUST A LITTLE MOD BY ME!

Ok here it is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/o2auyh

Install using the original ROM instructions
But one more thing, if you want to keep the good fast market (which you should!), right after installing go to terminal and type:
Code:
su
pm disable com.android.vending.updater
If the market manages to squeeze in an update before you do it go to:
settings>applications>manage>market>uninstall updates
I really recommend you do it.

Code:
Changes:
-edited update script, made the installation a bit more detailed and informative
-removed calendar
-removed onscreenkeyboard (faster! use your slide out keyboard!)
-removed livewallpapers picker
-removed text to speech
-removed protips widget
-removed voice dialer
-added stock sounds and fonts
-added gmail
-added youtube
-changed bootscreen
-decompressed zip mostly (might install faster?)

If theres anything you want me to add/remove, tell me

how about removing everything possible except gmail, youtube, and market. the ultimate barebones. and a file explorer.

Time not showing

for some reason I am guessing the time font must be black or something
as I can not see it

few programs are showing square symbols also

I have a feeling on first boot it might have been their but when I changed background from laszlo to black it also disappeared
( how ever unsure it may have not even been their )

fresh wipe / factory reset
clockwork recover installed
gapps installed
laszlo installed

desperately needed working sd-ext as CM6 left me with no space :p

and my market was broken from failed update from low space situation

( did fresh wipe because I could not access extra advanced with out it crashing )
so decided to give laszlo a go again ( unsure why I went back to CM last time )

*edit*

I thought I read something about some issue before

At the moment color of clock, date and ticker are black after wipe installation to fix it go to Settings/Extras/UI/Tweaks Extras & Reset UI Tweaks to default You don't need to reboot.

Thanks for the great ROM .. its been AGES since it could multitask :p

Re adding CM Fonts hopefully that will sort out all my problems

Both those are just general problems with the rom
Here's how to fix:
1. Go to settings>extra>user interface>tweaks extra>reset ui tweaks (you don't have to reboot and btw this is in the first post)
2. Make sure you have a strong internet connection
3. Go to terminal and type su...press allow if it asks
4. Type addons into the terminal
5. Type no for everything but the fonts option. For fonts type yes. This will fix your fonts. There ya go!
WARNING: this once made my rom unbootable...laszlos addons thing is a bit buggy
Make sure nothing else is running

    FAQ:
    Q: How can i enable App2EXT?
    A: Settings/Extras/Appliacation > Allow moving > Install Location > sd-ext

Q: I've setted over 614 MHz and my G1 stuck at bootscreen/currently menu!!
    A: Reflash ROM.

Q: I have boxes instead of text! / Or i don't like Your fonts!
A: If You don't like it, you must to manually replace the fonts. Posted above.
A2: Type addons in Terminal Emulator.

First of all I'd like to stress one thing:

This ROM uses so called Magpie aka native apps2sdext framework made by Firerat & me. Because of that please DO NOT use Firerat's All-In-One patch (if you really need please DO NOT use any option that relates to moving apps between internal and sd-ext - that includes ApkManager.sh and dalvik-cache) You are more than likely to have problems. You have been warned.

To fully use Magpie features it's best to select sd-ext in Extras(cmsettings)/Apps/Install Location.

At the moment color of clock, date and ticker are black after wipe installation to fix it go to Settings/Extras/UI/Tweaks Extras & Reset UI Tweaks to default You don't neeed to reboot.
    Sorry!

    How to use Metamorph
Always Nandroid before flashing any theme.
    1. Download and install the Metamorph app from the Android market.
    2. Open Metamorph, allow checks and Superuser. Press menu, open settings and increase Metamorph Delay to 3500 or so.
    3. If this is a new theme, choose Unzip/Extract new theme and navigate to downloaded theme zip file on your SD card.
    4. Click on the zip file and Metamorph will extract the theme files automagically.
    5. Information about the theme may be displayed. Select "Close" when done.
    5. A list of all the sub-themes will be displayed. Click ‘Apply All!’
    6. Select "Continue" to apply framework-res themed files.
    7. Reboot if it doesn't happen automatically.

    Tips:
    - Once you have completed all the checks in the Metamorph, you can Disable startup checks in Metamorph settings. You can also Disable the warning regarding framework-res too.
    - After you've Metamorphed once, you can delete the theme zip file from your SD card if you'd like. The extracted theme is saved in AndroidThemes on your SD card.

    Honeybread Froyo BETA

By popular request and with the consent of haxzamatic, here is a version of Honeybread Metamorph for MDPI Froyo!!

I'm calling this a BETA. I had to do a lot of resizing, renaming, recreating and filling in to make this theme work on our devices. (I also want to credit Kagedin of Dark Edge MDPI MM fame for some of the pngs I used as well.) I'd appreciate if some of you would put it through the paces and let me know of any problems. Below are the Honeybread wallpapers too.

    Hi!

    Here's some changes:
    Code:
Fix mic on Sapp, fix volume control at phone call, boot-speedup-trick will speed up your boot if You have tons of apps, new locales, kernel improvments, xVold 2.2.1 (now can bind data/data to sd-ext/data
    LOCALES: en_US de_DE hu_HU en_GB it_IT nl_NL es_ES

    I'll post it tomorrow.

    Regards, Laszlo :)

I found a way to run a script on every boot for this rom. Apparently laslzo has done this for us. Just place your script named userinit.sh in /data/local. The script will be loaded on boot. For instance i loaded the memory script from : http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=13977709&postcount=1642

    Code:
    #!/system/bin/sh
    # Values are given in 4k units!
    # Foreground App, Visible App, Secondary Server, Hidden App, Content Provider, Empty App
    echo "2048,3072,5120,7680,10192,25600" > /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree

Code to check if the above script is working
    Code:
    cat /sys/module/lowmemorykiller/parameters/minfree

I have confirmed that this works. Thanks to tom0769 for providing the original script and the code to check if it's working.
