I guess I don't understand why a "cdma" file would change/help that? Or is that just the file name and it has nothing to do with actual cdma? Lol

Cdma or wcdma has to do with the actual hardware in the phone... wcdma typically being for "world" phones... neither of which the flipside has to my knowledge, I believe the flipside is just straight gsm
The stock rom's boot animation says world phone (at least for the AT&T one).. I still don't know how it's more world-friendly then other phones though.. lol
Mmm... I have the att version as well and in stock I've never seen it say "world phone" on the boot mine says something like "life easier" or something like that but I have seen the boot screen ur talking about on other phones...
But if u check it out on www.gsmarena.com it has gsm, hsdpa, and hsupa... so I'm just trying to figure out how wcdma is relevant to our device... maybe its a leftover from the defy??
I think it does anyway... might have been another phone.

Sorry for asking, but.. what was wrong with the 3G?
I've built it from source using the official CM7 repo (laidaxin uses the CyanogenDefy one I believe) and 3G seems to be working fine for me..

When I attempt to make a phone call without setting it to 2G only... the phone reboots...
It also does not ever change color to green/cyan denoting that the internet isn't really connected
And if I beg... can you upload your version somewhere so I can try it?

Ah yea just tried it and it's the same then... I thought it completely wasn't working like no browser, cuz that works for me..
I'll snoop around and see what I can do..

Sorry for my poor English!3It should be 0 by default I think, change that to 255. I JUST finished downloading it, had major issues. One of the two mirror links was giving 404 errors, and the other was timing out ~20mb into the download. I threw it up on mediafire for anyone else having issues getting it (or for anyone too impatient to wait through the ~20k/sec I was getting here in the US

I asked for kernel source, not the boot loader...
For anyone interested, I tried again but a different way and got a reply... based on the other threads asking the same thing (for other devices), they release the source a few weeks after it's asked for

As for the boot loader, many people have petitioned/asked for them to be unlocked, and Motorola said they would - except there's only the Xoom (which is more or less a Google device) and a special version of the Droid RAZR unlockable.
Maybe there will be hope with Google taking over (every Google device is made to be unlockable without any hacks/exploits)2May be you will do this:
1.replace the /lib/moudles/modem_pm_driver.ko
2.add the missing files in system/lib,like the librilswith.so etc...
3.change the build.prop in ril lines
you all can try this for 3G problem.I try it,but when reboot to the system,I can't get any sign.But this way is the only way to solve this problem.Maybe I foget some lib or any other files fo this change.I work on CM9 now,good luck!
