Sweet! Just when I needed to unroot lol My phones mic died so ppl cant hear. Gonna have to take it in to the store. Do the newer Ruu's change the hboot? Ill prolly just flash the 3.29 Ruu anyways just to be safe.

3.30's have hboot 2.02 and 3.70 has hboot 2.10..
and 2.29 has hboot 0.97

I know this is probably some dumb questions but i'm gonna ask anyways.

So will this get me stock rom, stock recovery and s-on?

SO i just flash this and i'm good to take this in to sprint if i need to without doing any other steps?

Also what are the steps to this? I Think i know what to do but i just wanna make sure

I actually have had to unroot a couple times recently.

Flashing the RUU in recovery will give you stock rom, nothing else (I believe, someone correct me if I am wrong). If you go the HBoot direction as I did, it will format everything and give you stock recovery and rom, but you will still have s-off. In order to get s-on, you need to download the unrevoked-forever-son zip available on the unrevoked website and place it in the root of your sd card. Then, you can unroot as such:

1) Flash unrevoked-forever-son.zip in recovery like you would a rom.
2) Reboot into Bootloader and run the PC36IMG of whatever version you wish (I did 3.70).

After this process, you will be back to stock. Do NOT to the PC36IMG before you do unrevoked forever, as you will need to reroot in order to turn s-off back to s-on (can't do it otherwise). Hopefully this will get you where you need to be.

Yes I had 0.76 boot and this changed the boot to .97 (I flashed 3.26 rom). Since the hboot is eng it wouldnt show s-on even after running the s-on zip but i decided to flash the PC36IMG anyways and voila when it upgraded the hboot it showed S-ON. Good luck.

Installation aborted!

When my phone starts I get the message pc36img file not found. I was told to come to this forum and install the update that matched the baseband version of my phone, 2.15.00.11.19. I downloaded the zip, used Rom Manager to install, but it starts, then says installation aborted.

At one point, someone had me update the radio. I'm not sure if that would give me the wrong version? I'd really like to fix this, because every ROM I try to install fails.

Can anyone help?

Its the ruu. So its not supposed to be flashed from your phone. What you want to do is plug your phone into your computer, make sure it detects it. This means get the drivers from somewhere if you don't already have them. Then run this file from your computer. It should all work out :]

ok just to clarify. Im running MikFroyo 4.4 at the moment. I rooted back with Unrevoked Forever back when it was released to support Froyo. Currently I have HBOOT 0.76.2000 Eng S-OFF
Radio 2.15.00.11.19

If I were to download one of these zips and place it on my sdcard, flash the unrevoked s-on zip THEN flash say the 3.29 zip here, I will be back to stock with no trace of being rooted?

Only reason im asking is cause my USB port is completely trashed on my phone,it will not charge,it will not transfer data, but I do have dropbox to get these files onto my sdcard. I need to take it into Sprint for a replacement, and I dont want to give them ANY ammo to refuse me. I know this was NOT caused by root since its been fine for a LONG time, and the USB port has alot of wiggle room, and has since day 1

I just want to be completely stock with no trace of root.

yes youll be unrooted
u can use adb wireless or wifi explorer app to get them to your sd
or external sd reader
