Re: [ROM][SPH-L900][JB][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies

Only issue I have came across is voicemail. I tried to change the voicemail number but it stays at *86. Calling my number works tho I'll definitely stay running these nightlies

Re: [ROM][SPH-L900][JB][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies

Just flashed, only thing I notice is apex launcher in the app draw blurs out when attempting to scroll. Maybe it is because of the theming but it blurs crazy
First is norm second is after trying to scroll

It is not due to theme

Got the google search working by clearing the data in app manager. Also Noticed that the "developer options" is gone from the settings.

UPDATE - I do notice that my signal strength is much weaker now. I'm looking at my strength vs a stock one right now and.

Stock rom: -74dBm 4asu
CM 10.1: - -89dBm 4asu

Any ideas why it would show so much lower signal?

Does it have to be CWM or can we use TWRP recovery to flash this? I know it sounds like a noob question so please forgive me.

GPS works fine, have not tested bluetooth...overall rom is awesome except one big problem..

After using the camera a few times it gets stuck and then the phone says 'Cannot connect to Camera' and the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone.

Anyone have a remedy for this?

Gps nav has been working great for me. Bluetooth works fine on the receive side and the streaming side, I have not been able to get voice dial to work without manually opening the mymotospeak app ( kinda defeats the hand free thing ) if I press the button on the earpiece it opens voice dialer which is not working for me.

So Awesome!!

Just installed using TWRP. Installed just fine, GApps too. Had to download G+ and Maps. Maybe the flash didn't stick. Oh well, they're working fine. Camera works great.

One problem that I've run into is that my SD card is now coming up as "Damaged". Well...no, it's not. But I will have to wait to hook it up to a PC tomorrow to figure out what's wrong. For right now, it's fine. I don't need it. The one complaint I have with 4.2 though is this whole "virtual" card thing and that the SD card is actually your internal storage. Yes I know that I can switch them but you have to switch them EVERY time you flash a rom. That's not helpful since the system apps then get written to the storage that becomes external and it makes everything lag.

So really that's the only issue I have right now.
Other than that, 4G connects just fine. ROM is lightning fast. Data is nice and snappy. Lovin' me some 4.2!

Make sure your sd is formatted Fat32 that is what works with cm

Yup. After doing some research, I learned that. Funny though, the Note wouldn't format the card. Must auto-write to exFat. So I pulled out my old Samsung Moment. That thing was never supposed to read a 64gb card but did so with flying colours. I have some old VampireRom on there... so a few minutes (moments?) later and my card was back in the Note.

I use GL to SD to move large apps to the SD. Then I go back with Directory Binding for some of the larger Data chunks. Keeps it nice and clean on the internal side and I don't have to switch the "locations".

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Thank you sbrissen for developing for this awesome device and all of our donators who made it possible! None of this would have happened without you guys :)

You will lose S Pen and other Touchwiz functionality if you flash this but here is how you can get some of that functionality back!
    1. S Pen works (try out the app Papyrus as a replacement to S Note, Papyrus does utilize the S Pen button as well).
    2. Air View works (Go to settings, Language & input, check "Show icon when using stylus".
    3. The S Pen button works (Go to settings, Language & input, Stylus gestures, those all use the s pen button).
    4. Pop up browser = OverSkreen from the Google Play Store.
    5. I use the 4.2 Camera on Touchwiz anyway. There are plenty of good camera apps in the market if you want more features.
    6. Multiwindow. There is no alternative, dont ask.
And here's some alternatives to Touchwiz apps (PM me if you want me to add something!)

DO NOT USE 20121011 GAPPS OR YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES, USE 20121212 GAPPS.

If you want to downgrade back to a 4.1.x ROM, flash the restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip attached below AFTER flashing back to 4.1.x ROM. Your storage situation will be how it was pre-CM10.1 flash. Thanks to madmack for the file.

Screenshot thing is a known issue.

Also, guys I'm glad your all crazy about the CM10.2 thing but this is still the 10.1 thread. So can we please keep it on topic?

I'll start a cm10.2 thread shortly with builds. the screenshot issue is because of the "legacy" mali gpu blobs. until we get blobs that work properly with 4.3 there will be graphic issues
