Hi biktor_gj,
First, let me congratulate you. This is a very important achievement. I can only wish, it would work on all Lumia's. Unfortunately all recent devices, including the Lumia 900, that is just released, do not have the unlocked bootloader.
Interop Unlock is good for a few things; you can do unlimited side-loading. Especially with today's chevronwp7 announcement that the unlock-tokens will be revoked, this is very welcome. Also you can access drivers now.
In the past with driver access you got enough to do all further unlocking, because of elevated privileges of the drivers. Unfortunately, the drivers are more and more protected. With the current Nokia drivers it is still not possible to do further unlocking to run WP7 Root Tools for example.
So the ROM needs more patching. It is possible to modify the policy database or to modify binaries. If you can find policydb.vol and accountdb.vol in your rom, you can extract it and send it to me. I can probably patch it for you, so you can reintegrate it.
For people with NOKIA's with locked bootloader (NOKIA DLOAD device), like I have, I'm still working hard on finding exploits in the drivers. So I will continue that work.
Good luck with this and I hope you can find a solution to flash the old osbl to devices with locked bootloaders!
Ciao,
Heathcliff74
Edit: Did you alter all registry-values that are necessary to keep the device unlocked, like the produrl values, etc? This is important to keep all unlocks working.
Hey, first yes, I changed PortalUrlProd, PortalUrlInt, and LVMod. Strange enoguh, MaxUnsignedApps was already set to the correct value.
Don't get me wrong, Interop Unlock is good and all, but I just wanted to get this working to delete it from my task list and because I promised ultrashot I would try it. It worked like a charm, so now we'll get back to business.
I haven't given up on Nokia's Dload OSBL yet. I have two Lumia 800, one unlocked, and one locked, and my next try will be at crashing the locked bootloader and attempt to restore qualcomm's. Hopefully the fact that now we have interopunlock just makes it easier to test some other things inside windows phone, like access to the flash. If NCS really flashes the new bootloader before rebooting the phone like some people said somewhere on this thread, we should also be able to do the same some way, and maybe with InteropUnlock we can test some more stuff. This is just the beggining of the way
Of course all this doesn't mean anything. Maybe it's impossible, but if there's a possibility of getting qualcomm's loader back I have the need of trying until I break both phones or until it works
At least we have a clean copy of the loader.
About those .vol files, on the OS dump I can only find mxip_notify. Is it something the OS does at first boot or something? can you tell me how to retrieve it so I can send it to you?
@beidl and @everyone asking for lumia 710 stuff: I have a private beta of OSBuilder, it's what let me recompile the rom without errors. Tomorrow morning I'll post a test firmware with interop unlocked for the 710, but I can't guarantee it'll work because I don't have anything to test it on, so you'll have to be the betatesters
I can't provide the OSBuilder beta, because I don't have permission from the developers. If they're fine with it I don't have a problem either, but I'd be better off letting them release the final build when they think they're ready to do it
