The difference between port and compile version is : at port version was made based on other phone (in this case ray based) and customized it with some neo/neo v files. Otherwise compiled one was made from source. A compiled one made much harder than a port one. :D

Thanks! So I assume that compiled version is better than the port one? Am I right? :D

Do you try use link2sd or similiar apps? How much your free rom/system? Could you attach screenshot about your memory?

No, i don't try link2sd. If I use it /cache will be bigger?

And maybe compile version(I use port version) can fix it?

Maybe you should try link2sd or similar apps. Cause is move some user app dalvik cache to ext partition.
And nothing diff between compile and port version.

Edit : are you try closing your unused apps? Or try restart it without wipe cache/dalvik cache.

I have a question:
after I reboot i have to wait for about 2-3 minutes for widgets to show up (I'm using Nova and it had to be granted SU permissions to add widgets), for lucky patcher, ROM Control etc to be granted SU permissions. Even my swiftkey flow is unusable within that 2-3 minutes. So i suppose that SU needs some time after a reboot to start working or something? Anybody have an idea?

Re: [Port & Compile][[Neo/Neo V]AC-man JB 4.1.2 Unofficial Release [v19.3.0 - 01/15/2

I'm getting a really low free ram with this rom. Is this normal? I have already set the free ram at 80mb with rom control. But even though it has a really low free ram, I'm not getting any lags at all. The rom is still smooth. I'm using the compiled version btw

I don't have problem with SU. Are you set allow automatically? And don't set notification on.

Yes, even free ram is very low still smooth.
Try to close or kill unused apps sometimes.

Well, I have switched to SuperSU and still after a boot the system needs about 2-3 minutes to load some things like widgets, flow typing in swiftkey. During those 2-3 minutes phone is usable, but can't type, can't access any root apps.

Where you install your widgets and swifkey are? It's better install widgets and keyboard at system rom. Use TB, convert to system app. Maybe it will help.
And how much free rom do you have? If there still have much free rom, try to "Intergrate sys Dalvik into ROM" from TB option menu. That will make quicker your system (Make nandroid first, for preserve if your system failed and got bootloop)

Did all Your advices, will see the results :)
I have about 170MB free ROM.
And one more, does the 'integrate sys dalvik into ROM' option need to be done often or just once? :)
EDIT: after reboot and doing those steps, the widgets and SU permissions still need about 3 minutes to load, maybe it's Nova launcher's fault, but nevermind :) It's not such a great problem.
Thanks for help, 5 thanks went straight to You :)

After trying out a few ROMs I've decided to stick with AC-Man v19.3.0 as my daily driver. I used to use Thunder's Lite version and it was excellent in every way, except it lagged a bit in games. I'm not a gamer and so this isn't important to me. Most importantly is that my music did not keep skipping while listening. This happened with 2 previous JB ROMs I tried. Don't know whether Thunder's Lite version did this. Anyway decided to install the full Compile version this time around.

Now I'm trying to follow Thunder's suggestion and "integrate sys dalvik into ROM". I only have 32.1 MB available space in System ROM and this is not enough to move the Dalvik Cache. So I will have to uninstall some more apps that are embedded in System. I've already removed a few apps successfully but will need to remove a few more to get available System ROM space to near 50 MB. Can somebody advise me which apps are safe to remove from the list below. Thank you.

I really don't know what most of the above apps are for and whether they are important for the system. But I find that a lot of the above apps can be obtained from Google Play which can be installed on the external SD card instead in System. So please be aggressive.

Sorry to be such a bother and thank you very much.

You've listed down all the system apps :eek:??

Sent from my MT11i using xda premium

Yes. All those were listed in red in Titanium. I thought I might remove those like Calculator, Calender, Dev Tools, Email, Face Unlock, File Manager and themes, HTML Viewer, Market Feedback, Movie Studio, Setup Wizard, Sound Recorder, Talk, TalkBack, Terminal Emulator, Torch, Voice Dialer and VPNDialogs. But I don't want to screw up the phone system.

I dunno about Dev tools n market feedback , movie studio, vpn dialogs

Rest all are safe to remove! As I know what rest all apps do!try removing some widgets if its there!
They eat up a lot of space!
And most of the apps listed by you don't account for a lot of space,(majority are small sized)

It's lot easier for you flash PAC v19.3 lite version. Or at least use it as comparation. I already delete some files from system folder and other folder. I've 180mb free rom before intergrate system dalvik into rom and 100mb free rom after intergrate.

    Hallon/Haida AC-man JB 4.1.2 Unofficial Release
and PAC JB 4.2.2 Unofficial Release

PACman All in 1 ROM !!!
This is AC-man JB temporary thread until Kormatoes/Bulook00 came back to his thread
We all miss you guys :fingers-crossed:

This ROM was Port from Ray
If you want to know about this rom, please go to THIS THREAD
I invite you all to share here and make this ROM better

Now I bring you another build PAC Lovins by Rizal Lovin
If you want to know about this rom, please go to THIS THREAD

And Now... We have an option
PAC JB 4.1.2 Compile from source by partner22 :good:
    with kernel inside
See at ROM Link Section Below

    From Szl.Kiev

Due to a request from PA Team to take down ParanoidPreferences, from v16.1.0 forward I exclude ParanoidPrefereances.apk from the ROM.

But the framework still support it, so if you still want to use PA settings, then get it somewhere else & use it at your own responsibility.

Do not put a link to ParanoidPreferences, apk in this thread !!! do it somewhere else.

To all porters & compilers, please strip down your rom, remove ParanoidPreferences.apk from there.
Use the new Setting.apk to prevent FC when there is no ParanoidPreferences.apk inside the ROM

    Info

ROMs were compiled from source, still based on AOSP+CM source codes
They are considered as a BASE ROM, there won't be much theming & features inside them yet
You may use & modify these ROM to create your advanced ROM freely

    Note
    • Always make a cwm backup
    • Always wipe data when switching ROM, unless you came from previous version of the same ROM
    • TB 5.7.0 seems work fine with JB
    • If you encounter any bugs after updating ROM without wipe data process, back up your installed apps & user data using TB, go to CWM & wipe data, reboot & restore from TB
    • Some things might not working & not implemented yet (as title said WIP)

    Working
