Alright, so I downloaded Google wallet, and did not get any notification that tap and pay is enabled/usable. I am running Carbon ROM 4.4 nightly. Any ideas as to a workaround, or do I have to wait for it to be implemented?

I recall reading somewhere that the Google Wallet app isn't compatible with the NFC chip in the Skyrocket. I know it sounds weird but read chenxiaolong's comment in this article:
