If you need an assist let me know, I found the instructions a bit confusing and assumes user knows how to flash, install sdk on c and such...

WITH the method above, BOOTLOADER MUST BE UNLOCKED via Moto site. That too was a little trip:laugh:

Not possible, you have to unlock bootloader first.

I just got this as a new phone. it came with 4.1.1.

I followed the procedure, downgraded, rooted, and upgraded.

I am now at 4.1.1, rooted. :good:

The 4.1.2 update has downloaded on my phone, and it is asking me if i want to install. Will i loose root? is Voodoo broken for this update? or will i be ok if i temp un-root, and then take the update?

I don't want to take the update if it will kill my hard-earned root. I know it is sometimes lost when taking this update. Should i do it or not? and what is the "right" way to do it to protect root?

ive a razr m by verizon xt907 thats unlocked on ICS i wanna upgrade to jellybean 4.1.1, and keep root? is that possible to upgrade through this tool and regain root?

No. You have a RAZR. Not a RAZR HD. Go to the RAZR section and there's plenty of tools and official roms.
