same problem here, it suddenly stopped working on 3g networks: it catches only gsm signal. I talked to the official support and they asked me to soft reset, try in safe mode and hard reset but nothing changed so I'm gonna send the phone back to be repaired in warranty.

(saharast2 how many days without the phone?)

I've the same problem. It's been 3 days ago when my phone can't connect to HSDPA, only EDGE.
After reading this thread, I guess it was a hardware fault

Inserting a sim card from another phone works? Maybe your sim card is old. I had the same problem, just changed my sim card, it works perfectly.

I actually have the same problem right now. I can get GSM (2G) signals right now but WCDMA (3G/H) doesn't work anymore. Since I use data on my phone, I've always set it to WCDMA only and after I got off the bus yesterday, I noticed that my phone doesn't have a signal anymore. Tried switching between all the options and only GSM only works. I'm on myONEv 7 FX+ and I'm wondering whether flashing an RUU would fix this. In any case, I'll need to revert to stock to have it repaired under warranty. I've had more trouble with this phone than any other phone I've had before.

Just called HTC Philippines again regarding my phone and they decided to void my warranty because of the relocked bootloader. They've confirmed that it is a problem with the logic board but because I unlocked my bootloader, they'll charge me for repairs. Since they're asking me to pay around $200 so I'll just pull it out. There are a lot of better phones around that price. Oh well, might as well use this as a secondary phone. I guess I'll have to come crawling back to Samsung or get that Nexus 4 if I want decent support.

Default same problem after rooting htc one s no wcdma

Hi guys,
I would like to refresh the subject as I came across the same problem on my HTC one S (S4) and no one so far was able to explain what the issue may be
I have unlocked and rooted my device as described on xdadev guide, however I decided not to flash a new ROM and stayed with Vodafone UK stock.
I had a problem straight away as my phone would not connect to network or would show full bar but any connection failed (internet, calls, sms).
I found this post and red that switching to WCDMA only my help, it did, well for a while. I have used the phone for about two weeks and it was working fine but suddenly 2 days ago I realized it does the same thing as right after rooting - no network or full bar but any connection fails.
Over last two days i was trying to flash my phone with several different roms, factory reset it but non of this works.
Phone works fine on GSM but fails to search for any network on WCDMA or AUTO.
I'm pretty sure that this is related to rooting the phone as before it worked ok, no problems at all.
I can also confirm that its not sim, network coverage.

Does any one have an idea how to fix it?
