This is what it says in the about phone :

Baseband version : I9100XXXKDJ

Kernel version : 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKE1-CL181974 root DELL103 #2

Build : GINGERBREAD.XWKE1

Is this what a new stock o2 brand galaxy s2 is meant to be.

I just wondered about the 'root' that appears in kernel version. Does that not mean its all ready rooted ?

Its the same as whats on mine which is not rooted. So yes it is stock. The Root doesn't mean rooted afaik. If you install titanium or something for rooted phones it will confirm it is not rooted.

That is saying root@DELL103.

It's telling you the username used to compile the kernel, and the name of the machine that compiled it. So we know that computer name DELL103 was used, and the user was logged on as root a the time.

It's not meaning you are rooted :)

So... Samsung, why do you compile as root? :p Hideous security regime if they do that as root =D
