I just found one via Google. I have also downloaded the file straight to the phone and Astro File Explorer will show the MD5 sum.

This is the Incredible S forum, not the Incredible 2 forum. The IncS is a GSM phone and the radios are not compatible with the Inc2 which is a CDMA/GSM world phone.

You need to post in the correct forum.

Just be careful which radio you flash....may end up creating an expensive brick or paperweight. Chech, re-check, read and then again re-check. Advice learnt by own experience of bricking a WM 6.5 phone....

I just bricked my Incredible...

I flashed a corrupt radio.img file, and now my phone is completly dead. I wont even turn on or charge.

Does anybody know if there is anything to do about it, other than throwing it out?

Ok, so I'm currently using 20.2811.30.085AU_3805.09.03.27_M and kinda new to radio flashing.

How does this work with both RIL and the actual radio ROM? Do I need to do both? Is just flashing the radio.img sufficient? How do I go about copying the files in the RIL zip to /system/lib? Does it matter if I don't?

I have noticed that the RIL files don't exist on 2.3.x ROMs - but do in ICS ROMs. Does this mean you only need to put the RIL files on ICS ROMs?

Is there such a thing as a Gingerbread / ICS radio firmware? I haven't been able to find this covered in any of the Radio FAQs :(

There is definitely a difference between the radio that shipped with Froyo 2.2 and Gingerbread 2.3, but since HTC hasn't released an official ICS ROM for the IncS, the AOSP ICS custom ROMs are still just using the current GB radio.

So to summariZe!

The last stable Radio is 20.2811.30.085AU_3805.09.03.27_M
And there was many replies from users that next ver of radio (28M) makes devices DEAD...

If you re on previous version (i.e. 06.03.03, 06.03.16 etc) it is recommeded to update to 09.03.27M. There will be noticable improvement! Ive tested all of them myself and ready to say a word.

It seems that the situation when device is swiching from 3G(H) to 2G(E) and backwards loosing signal is fixed! Now on 09.03.27M you can easily swich to AUTO GSM/WCDMA and relax. There was also a hidden problem when swiching GSM to WCDMA several times the device shows reception but in fact there isnt one... Its fixed too.

Please, gimme a response! Check this out! Am I correct?

PS Could someone please update the list of RADIOs at first post? There are still 3805.06.03.16 as latest ver of radio...

No. All of your data remains safe.

Its not actually a ROM that has to be flashed. Its sort of drivers for Radio-part.

To flash it you have to:
1 put the file "PG32IMG" on to sd card main directory.
2 Shut down your phone completely (without quick start setting)
3 start it long-pushing the power+volume down buttons.

The update will begin after it checks the files. It may take several minutes. Wait untill it say "press power button to reboot"

Good Luck!

PS and dont forget to delete the "PG32IMG" file after you boot your device!

    Code:
/* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or the end of the world. Please do some research
     * if you have any concerns about flashing a radio before flashing it!
     * YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the
     * finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. */

    How to Flash:

In order for this to work, the HTC Incredible S needs to be S-OFF. Flashing the radio with a corrupt file or interrupting the flash, can brick the device, please proceed with caution.

    1. Download the your choice of radio for the HTC Incredible S.
    2. Make sure the filename is PG32IMG.zip exactly or it will not work and copy it to the same folder as adb (the /platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder).
    3. Connect the HTC Incredible S to the computer via USB.
    4. On the computer, open terminal and run the following commands:
      Code:
      adb push PG32IMG.zip /sdcard/PG32IMG.zip
      adb shell md5sum /sdcard/PG32IMG.zip
NOTE: The md5 should match up the provide the original download location. If not, redownload & try again.
      Code:
      adb reboot bootloader
    5. The HTC Incredible S will reboot & usually boot into fastboot. Pressing the Power button will put the device into the bootloader.
    6. The bootloader will scan for the radio update. Once it finds the update, select Yes.
    7. Allow the bootloader to finish flashing the updated radio, and reboot the HTC Incredible S normally.
