Looks good!

Here are a few notes for you:
- I can't get the touchpad to work, might be a conflict with touchflo, will check
- The app display doesn't switch to landscape when one slides the phone out
- As the Kaiser slides out on the other side, the display in "keyboard" mode is upside down, and the D-PAD is also reversed.
- Keyboard works, but layout is wrong for most Fn keys.

Edit: Indeed, with touchfloSL off the touchpad works
- Would be cool to be able to use the keyboard while touchpad is active, and of course have the touchpad adapted to landscape when phone has keyboard out. That way one could really use the phone with keyboard out as a remote with both kb and mouse active at the same time.

@rmg: Yes, works over any network connection.

Ok, I will check it. I have still my old Kaiser

-But automatic switch display works for me...
- I need to check Fn keys....
- Touchpad works to...

I need to change ROM to newest Alex series.

Maybe it depend on ROM.

WM6 or WM6.1 ??

Hi! First I'd like to say that this app is very clever and looks awesome!

But I've had no luck running it, and I tried absolutely everything. I followed the instructions step by step, opened the ports and tried disabling all security software. I tried versions 2, 2.1 and 3, USB, bluetooth or Wifi, none works. Only thing I didn't try is flashing a new rom. I'm still using stock t-mobile WM6 rom. Could it be an issue? Are there any apps that are known to conflict with Gremote?
I don't really want to flash a new rom to my vario2, and would only do it as a last resort.

Just wondering, why is there no shortcuts other than keyboard in the touchpad mode?

WM6 or WM6.1 ??

Both. I was under WM6 when I first read this post and it worked fine, I just flashed a 6.1 ROM 2 days ago and it works fine too.

New version ready to download.

Last changes:
-added blank password support
-connection timeout increased
-new method for mouse move. If you want to use it, go to GRemoteServer Touchpad tab and select "Emulate IBM TrackPoint". It works similar to IBM TrackPoint. Go to Touchpad applet and try it, to check how it works
-many bugs fixed (tell me if I fix problem with connection timeout in v0.4.0)

Program not working for me

I have an AT&T Tilt with WM 6.1 and when I run GRomote.exe, the phone gives an error. "An unexpected error has occurred in GRemote.exe.
This application requires a newer version of Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device."

How do I check what version I have and update it?

Brilliant!

Finally v0.4.3 works on my Kaiser!!

And i cannot believe how good this app is!

Gremote has to be the best user-created app to hit the forums of xda-dev.

Standard Tv, or in MediaPC ? If you have PCI TV card and watch TV using PC, you can control it using my app. But standard TV required infrared comminication.
