First of all I would just to say thank you to task for making this rom possible. I abandoned this device a while ago in fear of no dev support. Its nice to see the community still very active.

I just want to point out that I installed this rom on my buddy's phone and I can't seem to even get him above 2 hours of screen on time. I have a galaxy nexus on cm9 that clears 4 hours of screen on time everyday. The galaxy s2 has only a very slightly smaller battery. He doesn't have any weird wake locks and I set his governor to ondemand and brightness to auto. I dont know what the deal is.

How can there be this much discrepancy between our devices? You would thinking the s2 would get significantly better battery life because it doesn't have an HD screen. Is there another kernel I should be running other than the stock cm9 one?

Also he is still on the 4-11-2012 version of AOKP because he hasn't been over since then. I see there has been kernel updates in the change log, have any of them significantly improved battery life? Thanks

well bro this isn't a galaxy nexus so its pretty much pointless to compare the two. second, you ask how there can be this much discrepancy between the devices??? there are too many variables to even mention. different apps, different kernel, different cell towers, different cell tower strength, ect... the list can go on forever almost. :D

there's almost no in comparing one device from another. everyone using different things on their phone and uses their phones differently.

Just ironic that this happens on 420 day.... Maybe a few too many festive beverages and I'd be wandering around the wrong thread too....

Ive searched google, found a few posts about this but nothing that really seems to help. If its been talked about, im sorry, but wallpaper being zoomed in when i set it? reason why? fix? Ive searched xda from zoom etc...mainly got camera zoom 720p stuff like that. Sorry if i over looked it. Also did my typical xda google search.

Can you or anyone else confirm that they can get over 3 hours of screen on time? Do you think anymore battery life can be had with siyah over the cm9 kernel?

A Big Thanks Goes to the AOKP Team, CyanogenMod Team, and Entropy512!!!

If you have any problems after flashing this ROM read the line below...

    ALSO READ THE 2ND POST!!!

1.) If ANYONE asks a question that's been answered in the FAQ or OP, DO NOT RESPOND TO THEIR POST. (It should hopefully force them to search)

2.) If ANYONE trolls this thread. DO NOT RESPOND. Me and Red5 will take care of it. (Leaves less cleanup for Red5 and we keep a clean thread)

3.) Leave personal opinions of each other out of this thread or do that stuff via PM.

4.) Have fun in this thread. As most of you know I like to joke around and keep things light. Not everything can be development related. It takes the fun out of these forums.

If we can all just do these simple things I'm sure this thread will get back to where in needs to be. More people including myself will actually like coming into this thread.

Great auto brighness settings (custom backlight settings):
***** Make sure your Exynos Sensor is set to "Open Source" in xxTweaker General section *****
*****WARNING: If you apply the setting before adding ALL the values, you'll have to do a full wipe. *****

To set the minimum value to something lower than 20, set the "Screen Dim Level" to the lowest value that you want. I would not go below 12 though!
Here is a flashable zip that will set all these values:

    Re: [Rom] AOKP(Jellybean 4.2.2) | Task650 (3.13.13) AT&T

So the sgs2 took quite the beating today (or maybe last night). Considering its been my back pocket phone these last couple weeks while I've been testing these releases it must've fell out of my pocket last night or this morning in my parking garage. Looks like I ran over it. Not only once, but twice. It has been sitting in a puddle on top of all that. Looks like it put up a pretty good fight though. lol. It was a pleasure having it. But nothing is going to bring this thing back to life. Looks like I might be done here guys. I can't even begin to try and justify to my fiance why I would be spending our money on an old device when I already have purchased 3 new ones in the last 4 months. She would eat me alive. lol. It was a pleasure. :D

Not happening. This is where it all started for me and can't watch it end now. :D
