Did that a few times, the phone just wont accept the password, keeps saying authentication error and asks for password again. Had done a backup, so returned to ics, with siyah kernel, and the wifi works fine, but the home button doesnt work which is kind of irritating. Thats why I wanted shostock. tried reloading the shostock, and did the wipe/reset, no joy. any more suggestions??
edit to last.... removed the wep security, and its connecting as long as theres no authentication required....wondering why doesn work on wep
Shostock3 really did not have any problems for me with wifi!
#1. However, some folks say that it depends upon their router -One or two complained that the could only connect on some routers and not other routers. So please try to connect on another wifi network -and that will pinpoint the issue a bit.
#2. Another thing might be the modem. I know that SS3 comes with a good Samsung modem, but you can go to the XDA I777 modem thread and download and flash a different Samsung modem and see if that changes your situation. That might be shooting in the dark, but if you have already reinstalled the rom [and NOT/NOT restored any system files from any backup -please! because if you do that may create conflicts in phone operations! ] Here is the modem thread link:

#3. Finally, you might try another rom. Shostock3 is absolutely super and rock-solid, but Mr. Cook just published a rooted, de-bloated version of the I777 official (stock) 4.1.2 Jelly Bean rom! That version is a good alternative to compare with SS3 since it is a similar, but less sophisticated or full featured TouchWiz/Samsung version.

Oh, when I read the home button was not working -that is also unusual and sometimes happens when you flash an i9100 rom on the I777 phone. The international version of the S2(I9100) is not exactly the same as the AT&T version (i777) and mixing up roms or kernels between them will result in a confused, often non working phone. When that happens you really have to go back and sort of start all over to clean up all the issues. . .
Good Luck!
