[Q] i9000 boot image format
I am doing some experiments with another device's boot and recovery images (i8730). These follow the standard boot image format as generated by mkbootimg. Today I have extracted my i9000 (CM 10.1.3) boot and recovery partitions but they are not recognized as standard Android boot images, the seem to include just the kernel. Example:
# cat /proc/mtd
dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 00780000 00040000 "boot"
mtd1: 00780000 00040000 "recovery"
mtd2: 1a600000 00040000 "datadata"
mtd3: 01180000 00040000 "cache"
mtd4: 00c80000 00040000 "efs"
mtd5: 01000000 00040000 "radio"
mtd6: 00b00000 00040000 "reservoir"
dd if=/dev/mtdblock0 of=boot.img
$ file boot.img
boot.img: Linux kernel ARM boot executable zImage (little-endian)
What am I doing wrong?
Does not i9000 use the standard boot image format?
