I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix the volume level of the speakerphone on any of the 4.4 aosp or cm Roms. I can't seem to find any answers.

If you install viper for android you can boost your speaker. .I was able to get Volume + from the market to boost some sound.
The right kernel helps. Paek has been working well.
Realistically this is still a work in progress on every rom.
