[Q] ROMs

I'd recommend sticking with stock and just installing xposed framework and gravitybox. You can get most of the features of various roms that way, and still keep all of the unique features found in the stock rom.

I find the the carbon ROM is almost flawless, it has minor bugs but which custom rom doesn't, as for the stock ROM, well I haven't been running stock for over 8 months and I'll never run stock b/c I hate white backgrounds, gotta love those inverted apps which are only available with a custom rom

You could also checkout Eclipse or Krypton. Both are stock/blur based, keeping active notifications and touch-less control. I'm currently using Eclipse 3.2.1 and faux kernel 007u. It's been very stable for me and keeps the features I want. Moto Connect doesn't work for me with Eclipse (I don't think it works for anybody). Twist to launch the camera has been hit or miss with faux kernel, but I think it works fine with Eclipse and the stock kernel.

I'm undervolted on faux and using per app clock speeds, it's really increased my standby and browsing battery life. In conjunction with xposed and wakelock terminator I'm getting 2.5% drain/hour with normal usage throughout the day while keeping location reporting/history and all of the google now features on. I think I get somewhere around 0.8/1.0% drain overnight, but I haven't left the phone off the charger overnight in a while.
