I'd kill for a touch version with external sd card support. My power button broke off ages ago, been using a paperclip since which is most unreliable. Being able to flash roms without that frustration would be most awesome.

I just got version 5.8.1.9 from ROM Manager and I see that selecting the reboot option at the end I got again the CWR instead. I can only force reboot from cold reboot to get the ROM starting again. Basically I should wait for a new version to fix it or I need to correct it by myself as reported previously? Thanks

Koush twitted earlier today that he fixed his CWM. I believed you still need to do the "fix" to get rid of the "bad" recovery.

After you have flash a different recovery DO NOT use the Boot into system.
Instead cold boot into the OS and use Terminal Emulator to type in the following command.

Type : su (give permission if ask, choose YES). You should get a #
Type : echo boot | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=1 seek=0
Type : exit
Type : reboot

Note: Hit "Enter" after each line
This didn't work for me so I took out the exit command and it worked perfectly.. basically this

Weird huh? I tried your original instructions about 16 times the last three days and was frustrated.. tried it without and it worked the first time.

Even weirder was I flashed gee one's stock rom and recovery and that worked but just boot looped Roach's CWM repack that came with the rom. I then did my method and viola.. All good.

I just did this procedure and now my Transformer does not boot. It stuck with "Asus" initial logo..... Now I cannot even cold boot
If I press vol - and + I just see "booting recovery kernel image" but nothing happen.

PS: Now I see that cold boot is possible but I cannot use reboot normally or boot from CWR or restore a nandroid backup. It stuck on initial logo then.
But CWR seems to be installed based on Rom manager.
Please, any suggestion?

Unable to flash, status 0

Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA

I understand correctly? Everybody in the same situation as reported on this post:

http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=24691662&postcount=70

Currently I cannot flash and start in recovery. I have tried several time reflash or install recovery with adb but no success.
Fortunately I can still restart in cold boot with my current ROM.

No solution yet or recommendations?

Thanks

Worst recovery, lacks too many options, the ui is not polished. Neither can install zip from sdcard, only internal.
Come on, for HTC you have a fabulous example of a touch recovery... 4Ext, ask them how to make a good touch recovery.

Ok I tried this, booted without going to the CWM boot loop, but now my tf101 just hangs at asus screen and I can't turn it off, it just starts up again on its own. Any suggestions please?
