You can now mirror your screen when using a Chromecast with the Note 3 running 4.4.2. Go into Settings >More Settings >Screen Mirroring to enable screen casting through your Chromecast.

I don't think that's how it works. You need the updated Chromecast apk. Through that, cast to screen is available, but I just get a "Google Play Services has stopped" error and the TV screen goes black.

Yeah you have to have the chromecast apk version 1.7. It's rolling out slowly in the play store. I don't have it yet

Perhaps. Do you know what version of Google Play services you have?

Mine was manually updated to 5.0.77

It's good for sharing photos and playing games with it is alright but there is lag but you kinda of expect that with it being in beta

I don't know why but due to some strange reason, I am unable to cast the screen on my device. YouTube and other apps with chromecast support are working perfectly fine. I am on stock rom with google play services 5.0.84. Chromecast apk version 1.7.4.
The way it happens is that when I click on cast screen on chromecast app, it tries to connect, the TV goes blank for 5 sec and then it doesn't connect. Any help would be highly appreciated.
