Default Thinking about going to Straight Talk

So I am thinking about going to over staight talk.I did a litlle research but couldnt find anything definite. I was wondering how well it has been working for other people. Do I have to flash an AT&T radio? What are the apn settings? All that type of jazz

I'm using the AT&T sim card through straight talk. You can get a T-mobile sim but I don't have any experience with that.

I am using the default tmobile radio. I get much better signal through that with AT&T than any radio I used with Tmobile in my area. 3g speeds only but it's an acceptable trade off for me (better signal and $600 bucks/year savings).

Use the APN settings on the straight talk webpage.

I currently use straight talk with the T Mobile SIM card and reception and data speeds are both fine for me. I haven't run a lot of speed test or anything of that nature but service works, calls work, I receive SMS and MMS messages promptly, and thus far have had a little issue with anything. I also managed recently to Zero my IMEI. No effect on service.
Was able to get a discounted rate and used a cash back card also, and got my monthly service down to $36, which I locked in with 8 months reserve. Am on month 3 and have yet to regret leaving post Paid T-Mobile.

I have ST on my gs2 right now with the new sbean 13.5 ROM . The service is def nice . I pay 45 a month and I get unlimited service. Even though its frowned upon I still tether my phones internet connection and it works great as well. My speeds with straight talk on at & t are about 7megs down with 1 meg up , I play minecraft on my laptop at park with no issues as well. Ping is usually around 120-180 but if you tether through USB instead of a WiFi hotspot it will bring it down to were games are playable .
