CyanogenMod 10.1 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone and to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*/

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Whats Working:
  • Display
  • Data (3g/4g)
  • SMS, MMS should work also but I haven't tested
  • WiFi (Problems with WEP)
  • adb
  • MTP
  • NFC (Might need to restart for it to turn off)
  • Sensors (compass, gyro etc)
  • Vibration
  • LEDs
  • Audio
  • GPS
  • HDMI
  • Bluetooth
  • Camera (FFC still has some issues with face detect)

Not Working:
  • You tell me

Downloads:
I recommend using CMUpdater to keep up to date with rom downloads if already on this rom.

Builds will NOT come every night. I will try to build as often as I can.

This will make me the happiest person in the world when it gets to be fully functional. :D

So if I back up my current ROM with TWRP and flash this after the usual erasing, will it cause any problems whatsoever to my backup? Obviously it's beta so I don't expect it to work perfectly like you said, but when I want to go back to a working ROM, will it still be there to flash back to?

Really hate the fact that there is only like 11 GB usable space.. Is there anyway to get me more space? I feel like the HTC CD-ROM thing is still there, too!

Going to have to delete stuff before I can flash.

In theory if we got CM working a dev could find a way to resize the partitions but if you did that you'd have to resize them back if you wanted to flash a sense ROM. I see a lot of bricked devices if we go down that road.

I realize this might be the wrong place, but I installed it, ran it, and tested it for a short time. I need everything to be working though so I went back to the back up I created, but... I'm getting stuck on booting. It will not go past the boot animation. :( Just sitting there for like 10 minutes. :/

You will need to format/factory wipe.

Resizing isn't the problem, it's making sure everything else is going to compute the part size. Kernel, Recovery, ROM - Everything will need to be remade and obviously the drive will completely be formatted so backups would be needed and some people cry about that.

I can also imagine bricking if users weren't mindful!

I factory wiped. I delete every cache. I wiped the ROM as well. Nothing would get the phone to boot past the logo. I ended up just pushing the base ROM over to my phone via ADB and then flashed it and restored the data portion after install so everything is functioning the same as if I were to restore the backup.

Thanks for your help.

If you want me to test anything out, I'll gladly be a guinea pig.

Wipe system and data through twrp(NOT DATA, use factory reset to wipe "data")
