I'm sure later the phone will crash, bootloop or blow up. When I think back about all the posts I've made over the past 1 year and a 1/2 how many times did things seem utopian only to become Jonestown later? I posted in the general I'm getting an S2 anyway, so my "national nightmare" will soon be over.
Edit: figured out the problem with the Nexus 5 sounds, they are processed at 48khz while all the other OGG files are 44.1. Tried to fix it but the 48khz files will not play without distortion even with audio libraries replaced with the ones from AOIP. So I just went ahead and removed the Nexus 5 sounds. The ROM was snappy all day and in the end I'm going for performance, functionality & convenience at this point.
This is IT for this device as I am fatigued with flashing ROMs on this thing, especially with the final days drawing near. I'm going to leave this OS on here when/if this device gets handed off to someone else too. It would sure be better than putting stock back on it! You did a good job on this @smartguy044
BTW "Intellidemand" for scheduler and "row" for I/O are working slightly better than "ondemand" and "sio". Battery is as good as it gets for 4.2 which is an added bonus. Ironic to find something that is so "peaceful" now that my run is almost done with this. Of course I have to say AOIP 1.5 is pretty damn good also.
I see that you switched to AOKP, but I think I'm gonna stay with Slimbean for now, once I resurrect my phone. It was working great with that rom. If I start having problems, I will switch to AOKP.... Plus, I'm using a revision of the kernel, so as to get the better boot screen. Personal preference.
