Why are people blathering on about Tegra3?
Just because the Krait spanks the S3 says nothing about how it'll compare to the 4412.
Nvidia is notorious for being first to bump up the core count while also delivering poor performance-per-core - especially since it's not just about the CPU, but about the peripherals on the chip too (such as hwaccel video). For most workloads, even Samsung's old Hummingbird could spank the Tegra2 as an example. Yeah, the Tegra2 did great on some benchmarks, but if you actually USED your device - a Hummingbird-based device was more responsive, and if you wanted to watch H.264 video - no contest, Samsung's MFC smoked whatever Tegra2 had and I expect that to continue.
That said, Exynos 4210 is good enough now for most uses.
Qualcomm-based GSIIIs will suck, and it has nothing to do with the actual CPU performance and everything to do with the fact that they'll be niche devices with inferior software support. THAT is why if I get this (probably not, doesn't offer enough over the Note to be worth it), I'll be going international.
Samsung should get wise and sell unlocked devices in the US WITH US warranty support - combine that with Straight Talk's BYOD SIM plans and they can finally start getting control away from carriers.
