Yes, you should do updates in order, however, flashing this ROM is not an update. When you flash this ROM (or any other WP custom ROM) it completely replaces the current one, so no need to worry about doing things in order. Just make sure you have an HTC Arrive and it's HSPL unlocked. As for the updates from Zune, this 7.8 version exceeds any version Sprint shipped, so you won't be doing any Zune updates anyways.

Could you test again?

Thanks.

Still contend Sprint changed something on March 16 such that this ROM (could be 7.8 related in general) does not do MMS on the Sprint network anywhere (as far as I know) in the areas bounded by Davidson, Hamilton, to Putnam counties.

It works, I just sent my friend a message. I live in Washington County on the far end of the state from you though. My MMS was working February when I was in Nashville, but that's February. I'm back in Johnson City now.

It's worth noting that I still have the problem where my MMS stops working after about a week and I have to "change network profile" to get it working again. This was a problem on the stock mango ROM and has been a problem for me since December 2011, so that's not related to this ROM. I can only hope that the Samsung ATIV S receives better support from Sprint than the HTC Arrive did.

Ill be canceling my Sprint contract shortly as I've purchased the Lumia 920 on ATT and I love it. The speed, screen size, and app selection are all amazing. Thanks again Lead for your years of support!

I'll be looking in December to see what T-Mobile has since they're unlimited now.

Sent from my Evo 3D CDMA using xda premium

I got tired of Sprint and have moved to T-Mobile. I hope to upgrade to a new Nokia phone if one comes out during the Summer.

ATT just began unlocking the 920, if you buy one used you should just need the SIM from tmobile and you could use that until Nokia releases their newest model. I see them selling for as low as $200 on CL.
