IMHO, comparing Antutu's total scores is useless since that sdcard speed bug is affecting it..one should only compare CPU/mem scores. If benchmarking somehow makes any difference..

I can't remember for certain but I think if you downloaded slim after those fixes were released then K had incorporated them directly in the ROM,

He is not talking about the galaxy s settings fix. About phone never FC'ed. So its just you JohstonF. Try wiping settigns app or a clean install

Thanks for the assist and quick replies, I found what I did wrong and yep krarvind it was just me and my flash happy fingers!

I would usually be pretty happy about a new rom but wow this rom is pretty bad.

I mean it does not even come with a keyboard or google play store and the interface is awkward.

Don't apologise, he aimed that comment at me because he singularly FAILED to get the humour of what I said and obviously takes great pleasure in chasing me around the forums trying to pick holes in everything I say.....don't you saszseb? ;)

Of course, not in everything. You might have noticed, there is only one field: flashing, upgrading, solving bootloops. Here I have other opinion, method. There is only one ROM -Slim- I've flashed it ~30 times. I do it with closed eyes therefore I get sometimes to bootloop. In this case I give my phone to my 8 year old son to solve the bootloop issue. Then I can continue my "job". :)

At a guess you haven't installed the slim common file, and if you don't like the launcher just instal another one....in short....FAIL FAIL FAIL!

Sure... that's also why there are more 1.3M views of this thread and more than 10 500 replies... not counting the equivalent threads for all other supported devices.

Maybe YOU did something bad (wrong), don't you think ? ;)

Lol

We would usually be also pretty happy about new users trying to flash this rom.

Except they write posts like this without having seen the homepage ever before.

First of all, amazing rom and big thank you to Krarvind! After clean install, no problems what so ever and a good batterylife.

But one thing that I miss; voodoo sound.. :/ And because a human being is fundementally lazy I will not read through the whole topic, my apologies!

What is the best kernel supporting the voodoo sound for this amazing rom?

PS. If there is anyone who has compared different modems living in Finland and using this rom, what has worked the best for you?

Semaphore 1.2.5s and jvu seems to work for most European users, but that is just a loose suggestion, try a search in sikys thread to see if there is any feedback :)

Use this Vending.apk if the inbuilt one doesn't allow paid apps.

    Slim ICS v2.7 - Stable
    IMPORTANT NOTE: :
Starting with 2.7 I am forming a common base for galaxy variants, so every user needs to flash the Slim_ICS_Base_2.7 and their device essentials, so a I9000 user has to flash the Slim_ICS_2.7_I9000_Essentials as well, if you don't your system won't boot. I am doing this so i can make it easier on my side and allow users of vibrant and captivate to become Slim.

    • Smaller but common base for galaxy S variant phones
    • Modded Market where paid apps work ( if it doesn't, try this, manually push it in system/app, set permissions, reboot)
    • Modem provided in Essentials - it will leave your modem alone if there is one already.
    • Introducing ASS ( Advanced Slim Settings) - thanks to Roman and AOKP team
      • Modify Notification Widgets
      • Adjust CPU frequency
      • Change battery style
      • Add/Remove Toggles
      • Adjust the toggle style ( Text, icon or alternate toggles)
      • Change LCD density
      • Allow 180 degree rotation
      • Custom Carrier Label
      • Back button to kill apps
      • Lockscreen options, octo doesn't but quad and two does
    • Updated TeamHacksung Kernel
    • Latest AOSP tree sync

    Slim_ICS_Base_2.7

    Slim_ICS_2.7_I9000_Essentials

    Slim_ICS_2.7_Captivate_Essentials

Slim_ICS_2.7_Vibrant_Essentials - Wifi Toggle Fix inbuilt, no need to flash separately

    Slim_ICS_2.7_Mirror

WIFI -TOGGLE FIX PATCH, flash after base + essentials only needed if WIFI toggles like hell.

    Market Workaround at 182 DPI:

    • Use this Vending.apk if the inbuilt one doesn't allow paid apps.

      or
    • Change to 240 dpi, reboot, clear market cache, and verify that all apps are seen ( if you can't see any at 182 dpi), then change it to 182 dpi and don't clear cache. All apps will show up until you clear cache next time.
      or
    • Buy LCD Density Modder Pro. Easily allows to change DPI and downloads a modded multi dpi marketplace.

ICS Rom Benchmarks for Nexus S:

Memory Issue related to Apps, See here for a possible fix
