A: There really isn't such thing as best kernel as every user has different needs. Each user should research the features of the kernels to better understand their properties. Here are links to some info about each kernel.

Yes, you need ICS HBoot and ICS kernel for this ROM.

Boot.img is included in Zip and can be flashed via FastBoot either before or immediately after flashing the ROM.

Sorry but this question comes up in just about every ROM thread. It's not just a matter of removing Sense apps. Sense has its claws dug deep into the system. If you really want something without Sense, you can go help out in the CM9 thread.
