OK guys, I've been following this thread almost from the beginning. I think that I have read every post and I LOVE this ROM.

I do have a problem though (I think)... when I plug in my USB keyboard I can't get it to type. I've used the exact same keyboard and full USB to micro USB adapter with my Nook Color and it works. Does ANYBODY have any clue where to start looking for answers?

Before anyone asks, yes the USB port on the phone works because I can plug it into my laptop and access the phone and the MicroSD card.

The only reason I'm bringing this forth is because I'm thinking of getting a lapdock and I don't want to spend $150 for something that will be worthless to me.

You need to power the keyboard, the phone does not supply the 5v rail power. get a external powered hub, connect the OTG cable to it, then all your devices to the hub.

Themes!

Hi! Great work!
I've just found that some themes doesn't work as it should;
I've installed the 'Ice Cream Sandwich CM7 Theme', 'Sculpted - CM7 Theme', 'Crystal Theme for CM7' and a lot more and the battery icon shows as the default Neutrino icon... The 'LunarUi' theme works fine btw.

Can someone confirm that?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards!

I'll have to tweak the theme chooser Addon I think.
It'll revert back to the stock CM7 theme, so that these issues do not occur.

I'm also having issues with the audio skipping while listening to Pandora and or the stock music app. I tried faux's and clemsyn's kernels it happens on both but doesn't happen all the time but now once it starts I will have to close the app or quit the app to get it to play a song clean. Its pretty aggravating since I listen to music alot.

I'm having an issue where the screen is turning itself on. I just realized my phone got kind if hot in my pocket, so when I looked, the screen was on and Mt battery went from like 30 to 17 in less than an hour.

Sometimes, when I shut the screen on, it comes right back on as well...

Killing me

Posted from my Atrix 4G

I've realised that my incredible battery drain was caused by the "stay awake" option in settings application develop...when the phone was not plugged in, sometimes, the screen didn't turn off but it became totally black mantaining the retro illumination...it is so strange but I am quiet sure about this...

Try removing SetCPU sleep profiles.

Ok notorious,

I love your ROM and I'm going to make a video review of the thigns I like, and the things that just don't work. it's gonna be an unbias review.

I have mentioned few of these things on here as bugs and were ignored.

I still love the ROM and will most likely use it and support it, but these bugs are annoying as hell...

for the last time I'm listing all the bugs I've found (all been around since 2.1p for me) it was always installed with fastboot -w before putting the ROM on.

  • GPS sometimes does not start looking for sats on some apps like maps. I have to turn on GPS status, find and lock the sats, then maps will work
  • Phone will ring once and the rest is silent. all I get is one loops of the ringtone.
  • facebook pictures will not sync with contacts. facebook DOES sync with contacts, but not the pictures.
  • upon reboot I get a consistent notification bar force stop. the bar eventually comes back after somet time.
  • This is unique to the 1.5 elite kernel, but it gets HOT! it can be idling at 41c. bootup is 76c. I'll blame the kernel for this though. the kernels provided are normal temps. Just pointing this out.
  • The screen tends to turn itself on after I turn it off. and it won't shut off. this is when the phone starts really eating away at the battery and drains all the juice. I realized this today when the phone got really hot in my pocket, I pulled it out and the screen was on...

ps. please don't take this personal. I'm sure you have a full time job and life outside of xda, but some of these things really stop this ROM from being the best ROM there is for this phone. with these problems, I still won't use another ROM.

perhaps some of these things (maybe all) have been mentioned but I don't read the thread post by post, so perhaps instead of me (or others) constantly putting up bugs that have been found, you can add them to your original post as bugs found with a status of them, it would really help.

Hopefully my reply won't upset you, but I feel helpless when I report bugs and they seem to go unnoticed.

that being said I'm going to do a video review of your ROM. I'll make another when clemsyn releases the ROM that's specific to this ROM that he apparently is working on.

Notorious, I don´t know why it happens, but if I press the Search Button, your tweaked Search bar (with the Neutrino word) to search for something, it gives me results completely different from the one I can get if I install and use the original Google Search Bar.

The problem is: Using your bar, I can´t find what I need. :(
If I search for a music name, the google search can find it for me, but your bar can´t.

And I already customized the "search itens" in both bars. Your´s cant find my music, I don´t know why.

Any clues?
Other than that little bug, your´s is the best Rom I´ve ever used. Thanks a lot!

do you have SetCPU profile set for screen off? If you do that is the cause for your skips. increase the max frequency a little.

PS. @ razorseal im not sure why u guys report your screen turns on but mine works perfectly and i have no drain at all. so before you make a review you should do a clean install of ROM and no additional app's. just install ROM and gapps and see if same will happen.

I don't believe the facebook thing isn't unique to this ROM, it's a PITA. Google and you'll see a lot of people having this issue. Try opening facebook and clicking on the friends list and letting all the photos load.

This has always been an issue for me. For some reason, some of my contacts which are named exactly as they are on facebook, will not sync, while others will. In your contacts section, choose settings and display options, and make sure "facebook contacts" are selected. You will then have duplicates of some of your contacts, one with a picture and one without, and then you can edit the contact and and click menu "join" them together.

Try putting the ringtone you want in 'system/media/audio/ringtons' (making sure you change the permissions to match the other ringtones there.

Yes, 1.5 is hot, I agree.

I wonder if the screen popping right back on is because of the fingerprint sensor being set on 'nav enable' and if your finger brushes it just right as your pressing to turn the screen off. I've turned nav enable off just now to test. I don't really use the fingerprint for navigation anyway.

Q: What's new?
A: Mice work fine with no jumps or weird stuff, Lapdocks have audio routed automatically, connecting storage to USB Just Works (TM), and there's an option to turn HDMI audio on/off manually when you need it on Settings -> Device Settings. I think I'm forgetting something hm.
So there is no need for new version as no major changes have been made.

    Please read before downloading

This is an enormously STRIPPED DOWN ROM. Many features YOU need may NOT be available in the base package. If there is any loss of functionality, you'll need to flash an ADDON by clicking the link below.

Before you download, ensure your contacts are saved onto your SD card or memory card. Contact/calender sync is not included natively, you must flash the 'Sync addon.'

This is a CM7 BASED ROM. So anything that doesn't work on CM7 like Webtop will NOT work on this ROM also. Please do not request non-CM7 features.
    Install Instructions:
**Firstly make sure you have the latest RomRacer's recovery!!**
Then choose to wipe using any one of the following two wiping methods:
    For clean wipe:
Moto-fastboot -w, erase system/boot/preinstall, then install from INTERNAL .ZIP!

    For easy wipe:
Go into recovery, and install from INTERNAL .ZIP!
Wiping data may not be necessary with every update, but it's best to flash clean. However, if you regularly flash the updates, you'll most likely need to wipe data at some stage anyway.
**DO NOT WIPE DATA AFTER INSTALLING!!!**
Make sure you flash the 'Lite gapps' in to get the barebone google apps.

Then, after booting, click on script manager, navigate to /system/etc and run NitroCharger.sh as ROOT and at BOOT!
It is also HIGHLY recommended to download the GPS Mod found in #2.
    Then you're done.

Q: Are you going to be working on CM9?
Yep, I'm working on it right now :)

Q: My phone doesn't boot with this ROM - it get's stuck on the dual-core screen :(
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ROMRACER'S RECOVERY!!!! CHANGE IT NOW!

Q: Why is performance settings in CMparts removed?
A lot of options in performance settings will conflict with the tweaks in this ROM. All the options in performance settings have been included in the ROM anyway, but have been optimised for the best settings. So don't worry about it. If you REALLY want to head over to performance settings, then long press on homescreen and select shortcut. Add CMparts>Performance Settings and you will gain access. But seriously, there's really no point.

Q: My phone shows that I have very low free RAM!
Here's a fat explanation on how the RAM works in Android.

Q: My phone can't scan files on my SDcard?
CM7 mounts the SDcard and internal memory opposite to Motorola. To switch back to 'stock style,' navigate to /settings/CMsettings/application > Check 'use internal storage' and reboot.

Q: Does this ROM support landscape mirroring?
    Yep.

Q: How do you get those cool 'ICS style' rings like in the screenshots?
Go to Settings/CMsettings/Lockscreen/Style options/Ring-Lock style and change to 'holo.'

Q: What does the BOOST script do?
It will 'defrag' databases, so make them smaller (faster to read, so apps will open faster) as well as freeing the caches. Do NOT run this script at boot!!!!! It is to be used if your phone starts to feel a big sluggish or laggy, then just run the script with SU and that's it.
