Verizon staggers their OTA rollouts so they don't have everyone downloading at once. It's probably possible to get the file once it's downloaded and post it somehow. I'm new to HTC, but it was pretty easy on Samsung...you just had to let it download and then copy it before reboot, because applying it would delete the file.Is there a way that someone who has gotten the OTA official one not the one that android police have could upload it. Not that I am thinking that the android police one is bad but I hear it wipes the phone and I hope that something hasn't gotten change on it since they recieved the one they have to download. They said they have had it for months.Also if anyone knows any force ota tricks let me know. I have tried the google services one and it hasn't worked.
Whoa, what? My Rezound is bone stock, but came with build 2.01.605.11. Am I cool to update or am I effing myself somehow?

I know that. I didn't say anything about that. I was asking a nice user (people have done this in the past) to upload the official ota one. This was done for ota's for my Eris in the past. I just don't want to wait, of course but at the same time I don't want to use the Android Police one because it will wipe the phone. There have been tricks in the past to get phones to update and I was asking if anyone knew any I haven't tried.

Root directoy refers to the top level directory of the SD card (i.e. not in any folders).
you can just wait for OTA to make it simple or you can just do it now either way youll be fine
There is not a directory called root, Just put it on the sd card, not in a folder and boot into hboot
...what? i've never had to do that before doing something like this..so i have no idea how to do that lol.
Thats a PDF file nothing that confirms .12 is legit It just means VZ has updated their pdf and the ota is getting close. Is there a way to confirm .12 is OTA ? and not the leak thats been out for some time

Download the file, rename is PH98IMG.ZIP and put it at the root of your SD card. Reboot into the bootloader (hold volume down and power) and it will ask if you want to update. Assuming this is the same as the other RUUs, you'll need to flash it twice.

It appears that these downloads are a zip inside another zip. Unzip the downloaded file and use the file inside for flashing.3here you go, mediafire link to the new update, courtesy of android police:
