I have a galaxy s2 and i recently messed up the screen, to where it even wont turn on, the problem im having is that i cant access the phone files because i can't turn on USB mode because the screen is cracked, is there anyway i can get around this and be able to access the files?

If you can get into download mode, you can try and flash a non-touchscreen cwm-based recovery and, as long as your home button and volume buttons work fine, find the key steps to reach mount usb. You will need to follow the steps exactly - you can quite easily end up performing a format by mistake.
