Hi guys i rooted my phone 2 week ago, but i have deleted the google email client and now i cant download anything from the market. Just wondering how do i go about re-rooting my phone so that it is like how it was when i first rooted my phone?? I've tried to run step 1 but it doesn'y complete and when i run step 2 it doesn't appear on the screen to select option 6.

Any help please

you have to complete step1 to move to step2

I uninstalled Superuser, anyone know how to get it back? I also wanted to upgrade to the latest 2.2.2 if possible.

ok sorted it now lol feel like such a dork, the problem was i wasnt hitting the enter key quick enough once id put it in flash mode.

well... could pull the adb install line out of step3 runme.cmd, and put in a batch file, then run that, or do the same from a command prompt, or put superuser.apk on sd, and browse to it with linda file manager or something similar and install from sd. there are really quite a few options

Once my phone is done rooting from Step 3.

Is it X10i or X10a? Because when I go in "About Phone" it says X10i Build number R2BA023. Do I still need to do Step 4 and Step 5?
I tried doing step 4 but it's saying "'Runme.cmd' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. *****YOUR PHONE IS ROOTED AND WILL RESTART****** Press any key to continue...". I'm stuck now

Don't do Steps 4 & 5. If you got through Steps 1,2 & 3 without any errors your phone is rooted.

What content should the SD-card have to make Step 3 working?
I deleted everything on the card to see if my problem went away, but it didn't.

I'm stuck at the third step.

Hi guys, first of all, you people did a great job on the rooting, thanks a lot for the effort.
Now I haven't done anything yet, busy downloading the files. This might be a stupid question, but this root version doesn't have any brand name and country specific info with it right?
Can I update through SEUS in future with this rooted version? Thanks a lot...

what about default username/password for root?

Thanks again. Your response was helpful. What about another part of my query. Once I complete rooting I will have to SSH into local Linux using root/su/admin, right? In that case what would be default user name and password I should be using to get onto my phone OS as super user? Appreciate your inputs on the same....

There isn't any MAJOR difference between 020 and 023 apart from the unnoticeable speed and a little better battery life.

But I suggest you to upgrade so as to make yourself more fluent into the rooting business and also stay updated with the latest firmware available.
