The latest gapps linked (15/01/2011) don't have all the apps included btw.

Yeah, figured that out ;)
But still, 3D Gallery doesnt work here without issues. It starts, but it doesnt show any Icon in the app drawer nor a real "name" (com.cooliris...) and it causes a LauncherPro Force Close ....

Are the nightlies appearing on premium ROM Manager btw? I've probably found it $5 worth of useful so ought to buy it really, but if it can check for new CM7 nightlies that would definitely make it worth buying! :)

Bluetooth...

Love it! It's like greased lightning!
Only issue I have so far is the bluetooth... it's unable to find my bluetooth carkit, wich worked perfectly fine with CM6.1.3.
Does anyone else have this problem? Or a solution for it?

ok perform these checks first..

are you rooted?
do you have s-off? (boot into bootloader and check that in the top it says s-off)

a nice to have...and very great to have if you ought to have good battery on any rom ... do you have a new radio img ?
(recommended radio is this http://www.multiupload.com/VPTKWUWXRF ie (Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2) )

If you want to know how to flash a radio..i recommend to first have a look at the first post in http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=877295
Also for successfully flashing any radio you must be in a HTC sense rom (any will do (leedroids, stock etc..)

if yes to all of the above..then proceed.

Do you have android sdk? if not download it..and make sure you have adb in your pc it should be under android_sdk/platform-tools/adb
To get android sdk go to http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

Make sure you download the recovery provided by Kali on the first post (unzip and get the recovery.img file and save it in your platform-tools directory

You also need fastboot on your pc (ideally install this in the same platform-tools directory) you can get it for your OS here http://developer.htc.com/adp.html

Then to flash connect your device to your pc..make sure is just in charging mode. Make sure adb can read your device to do this..
1) adb devices
2) If adb displays your device serial number..in your console then proceed.
3) type in your terminal (cmd prompt) adb reboot bootloader
4) make sure your devices reboots into bootloader mode. it should say fastboot in red
5) now use fastboot command
6) go to your platform-tools directory and type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
7) hit enter key...and it should then say
8) sending recovery (xxxx KB) OKAY
writing recovery ... OKAY
9) then it means is all done..you have new recovery! :D
10) you can then go into recovery and flash CM7! :D

WOW thnx for your great-everything-in-it explanation, u dont find it that way so easily its always loose parts, outdated, new, not compatible etc etc.
But yes excpt for the radio which is 26.03.02.26_m i have covered all the things u said.

So whilst the version number could stay thesame after the fastboot flash command and succes ofcourse, that shouldnt be that big of a problem? the recovery bootloader looks thesame and well what i said earlier the version stays on what is the last one on rom manager?> 4.5.1.3 or something? well that one i mean.

I did howover updated build #3, didnt notice build 1 few days back. And i just let rom manager download it, recovery mod update it whilst i was running latest cm6 nightly...

Am i F****ED in any way or is it just that all the apps, roms, custom ones etc go to fast for the scene and everyone that needs to keep up with developing and things like that?

btw really mean it thnx again for the long explanation!

Battery drain issue:
Older Radio have know issue which drain faster on asleep, 26.04.02.17 is higly recommended.
I do not recommend newer radio (26.04.02.17 is fine), because it fix exploit used for gain root access and could not be downgraded

when you say 02.17 is fine.... do you mean

Code:
17th December 2010: Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2 - Orange ES 1.75.75.2 / HTC WWE 1.72.405.3
MD5 Checksum: 950d04d271691ff0a31e11526cb059c4

 OR

[*] 4th January 2011: Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF - HTC WWE 1.72.405.3 R2 - Credits to brolee83
Note: Once flashed, this radio will show up as 12.28e.60.140fP_26.04.02.17_M2 or 12.28e.60.140fU_26.04.02.17_M2
MD5 Checksum: aea59efafc7327000a44ee902046c355

& Is this the radio you say fix's exploit to gain root access and cannot be downgraded ? even with radio-soff ?

radio released 17th January 2011:

Radio_12.39.60.19_26.06.04.06_M_release - Cingular US 1.80.502.3 -

Anyone using this ? issues? , and as long as i have Radio S-OFF i am able to revert back to any other radios ?

Just do a full wipe , then mount your Sd card through clockworkmod, delete everything, ( backup what you want obviously) and then Install ROM, ROM will install needed files on sdcard, and then you have fresh install fresh sd.

enjoy :)

edit **

do a full wipe through clockworkmod.
my full wipe.zip should be ready and compatible with the new recovery in afew days aswell :)

    @Kali-
Are you already working on CM9?
What are your plans regarding ICS on DHD?

    we are working on it

Android with 4.0 got hw accellerated ui, this require a new code which was published by Qualcomm few days ago, but it was made for their newer 3.0 kernel, some feature need to backported to 2.6.35 kernel (too many api changes for port forward)
we have some patch to get an accellerated ui, but is bugged and lack GL support.

audio works, we have a wrapper to play with older lib, probably next week i will port all htc stuff to qcom audio source

camera probably well be a little tricky (i still have to check it)

gps gb works on ics too (no api chanes)

    data and call is working

sorry i didnt read the last pages. i guess the result stays the same. if power off works with google voice, drain is great.

i looked into the voice thing - and to make my own life more easy, i hacked a way into the driver to query power status.

    http://www.filesonic.com/file/172299981/mad-#3-aic3254pd_signed.zip

i hope this link last longer as the dropbox link - you guys killed my dropbox account -.- yet nearly noone pressed the damn thanks button ):

i didnt find yet, why you need to use the microphone so power down works. i first thought about an error in the driver, but the driver seams okay - its probably connected to the second microphone of ace. like if not both are switched off, driver doesnt power down. needs more investigation.

    get power status:

    Code:
    [sven@frink xbin]$ adb shell aic3254pd status
Power status of aic3254 chip: OFF

or in terminal on phone just

    Code:
    localhost / # aic3254pd status
Power status of aic3254 chip: OFF

like usual, flash this zip after any nightly - it changes the kernel now and add those 2 files. default kernel cannot keep track of power status and will show allways on (or off?)

i also set up some script files to easily generate new mad_signed.zip files without all the manual work.

i would like to see more feedback on when power off works, and when not. i started writing a widget, copied the home-screen-tips-widget for it, but it wont show up in lists of widgets - would be perfect to see the status of dsp chip on homescreen. on the other hand, once the problem is properly fixed, wont be needed anymore.

hope this keeps you up with some testing, we soon find out in which cases it wont power down, and finally fix the issue. hope the command line status query helps you as much as me...

    regards
    mad

edit: oh, since this daemon costs about zero cpu power, i decreased power-off request form 60 seconds to 20 seconds...

    edit2: changelog

    #1: initial release
    #2: added kernel and status
#3: addind missing wifi module of #2

    Battery drain issue:
Desire HD only: Older Radio have know issue which drain faster on asleep
    26.04.02.17 is the safest
newer version work too but prevent routing and can't be downgraded: make sure to have radio s-off before flashing newer version

also dont forget to set wifi sleep policy to never
settings -> wireless & networks -> wifi settings
press menu -> advanced and set wifi sleep policy to Never
    press menu -> save

    RIL issue:
Switching RIL is cause of know network problem:
    * Unable to make a network scan
