Until now it not possible to root KL7 you have to flash back and root and then update over OTA if it is available for you
Update over Kies you lose the root but over OTA you don’t

Second attempt:
Copying the /data/system/packages.xml to my desktop set the desired packages with an editor to enabled="true", copyied the modified file back to its place. reboot. Success.

This is not always working.
I'm on a rooted DBT KK9 ROM, and OTA fails to install...

I just wonder if flashing the OTA files manually in recovery mode with the redbend_ua app would work.

Those two files are downloaded to /data/data/com.wssyncmldm by the OTA process.

Now that people have had some time with the new firmware, what is the general feeling on batterylife? I've read through the posts here but some people seem to find it better, others worse so it's a bit difficult to tell. I was pleased with the previous firmware update as I found batterylife was a bit better but would hang off updating if batterylife has taken a hit.

Says carrier is Open Europe. Does that mean its for all european countries or is Open Europe a company?

Anyone willing to try it out?

No update available for my Note.... I'm on a KL7 - DBT model (received KL7 via Kies). Hope they found the battery drainer in KL7 (speed is exellent though)......

Kl7 isnt a battery drainer. Just people cant read things.

GO AND DISABLE SAMSUNG PUSH FOR A RESTART OF THE PHONE AFTER RESTART ENABLE IT AGAIN IT SHOULD FIX THE BATTERY DRAIN. AFTER THE UPDATE AT LEAST VIA OTA PUSH WOULD EAT 20-25% IN A NIGHT EVEN PHONE WAS OR AT LEAST SHOULD SLEEP BUT IT DIDNT
