I didn't have any issues running a JL4 based rom. Just make sure that you choose the correct download. Right now I'm running Eugene's Ginger Clone R2. I flashed the deodexed without issue. It took a little while to boot but works perfectly!

This was more than a lock screen, the Icons for the WIFI, 3G and battery in the notification area have changed.
All of the Gingerbread default look and feel in the settings have been changed with color Icons like from a similar rom like Eugene's T959UVJFD.
I don't think that this was mentioned either, just a heads up.

24this is the lock screen mod for the just leaked JL5 firmware
install with clockwork
choose the deodex zip for custom ROM's like the Rom's produced by
Eugene, Master, TeamWhisky
if you flashed with Odin / Heimdall then chances are you want the stock zip
the source zip is for devs looking to port the mod to other ROM's/Phones
NOTE: framework-res.apk is a little bit larger so make sure
you have enough room on the system partition to install
