I was wondering the same thing. It's there a reason for the low speaker phone volume? Or a way to increase it?

I'm also having the issue where the phone won't wake up. Notification light flashing (so the phone is still running) but no matter how many times I push the power button, I don't get the lock screen... When that happens, I have to hold down power until the phone turns off then boot it back up.

I am looking for a solution to this but I think this is a bug that is across all S3 builds for AOKP MR1. Driving me crazy as well.

I haven't seen this once myself. Are you running the stock kernel? Can you pull a log for me? Thanks man

Yup I'm stock with stock gapps. I've never pulled a log before so I'll have to read up on it. :silly:

DO NOT INSTALL A BUILD FROM THE 24TH. I UPLOADED THE N8013 BUID TO THE WRONG FOLDER ! DELETED AND FIXING NOW. Just Dont want anyone to have issues // soft bricks.

For volume issues there is something within s3 advanced or device options for volume to be made louder. I'm not running aokp but I can search into it further for those that can't find it by my horrible instructions.

It's under advanced scroll to sound and there should be something extra gain in voice or similar to that at least. I've read that it helped people in the past.

I'm having the same issue with speaker phone as well... What up with that?

The extra volume in advance is more for hard of hearing in general... But when I've turned it on, nothing but distortion... So yeah no joy on that one...

Anyone having problems with streaming audio via bluetooth? My bluetooth works well for calls, but for media it's silent and crackles. I even went back to latest infamous tw ROM, and same thing happens. I've wiped several times and tried different kernels and same thing.

USB Audio Out (Dock mode)

Is there any way to get USB audio out working with this ROM? I see the option in "Device Settings" -> "Sound", labeled "Use Dock USB Audio". Checking it seems to do nothing, as audio continues to play through the phone speaker.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Really weird buddy. Bluetooth streaming works perfect for me. Might suggest using Odin and restock then reroot if you are having issues on both ROMs. Can you pull a log for me to look at?

I'm basically following this guide. Just got all the parts in, tested it out with some headphones and noticed that I'm only getting phone speaker out, not anything through the USB DAC.

This has been a difficult issue to track down through just searching/google-fu.

This is built right from AOKP MR1 (4.2.2) source for the d2tmo. This is a "kang" project, meaning it is unofficial and will have a lot more of my input versus the official builds.     KINETIC AOKP KERNEL™​





    This kernel will work for AOKP/AOSP/CM10.1 basically for all new 4.2 AOSP based ROMs.

    Also just a warning. LTS1 - LTS2 is not compatible with Kinetic AOKP Kernel. Only builds equal to or newer then April 30th are compatible.

    What is fast charge:

    This allows one to force AC charging for any charger that is detected as USB (e.g. many car chargers) and pull the full current the charger can support. Without Fast charge, when connected to the computer or even car charger you will very low current causing the charge time to be a lot longer. With fast charge active the current is set to the max allowed (and/or safest) and charging time will reduce greatly. It also provides additional security when connecting to public charging stations because by forcing AC charging, USB/adb data transfers are disabled, protecting your data. When fast charge is active you will not be able to access your data on your device. You will need to turn fast charge off to access them. Hope this helps everyone understand it more.
