[2014.05.01][ROOT] Mobile ODIN v4.20

The early problem reported, about lose root after flashing the rom I9100XWLPX 4.0.4 with Mobile odin, probably is related with some problem of Mobile odin and not the rom, because the same problem occurs with I9100XWLPU 4.0.4.

The problems appear to have something to do with flashing the cache partition and seems to be device specific (as in, the problem does not occur on the devices I tested the latest version on, but I can confirm it happens on the Note now). Working on it, will update as soon as further information is available.

Never had this problem before!
Problem must have been introduced due to a lot of changes in version 3.25

Here's my situation...

I've got an LTE G.Nex w/ a failing usb port (unlocked, rooted, running 4.1.1 ROM, CWM recovery installed). I need to return it to stock so I can send it back to VZW.

I've got latest ODIN Pro from Play store.

Downloaded 4.0.4 factory tar from GOOG and put it in the root of the internal-SD.

When I select the tar file, I only get "Modem" and "OTA / Update ZIP" under "The following partitions have been set:" Nothing else.

I select Wipe data and cache. Hit Flash firmware, and I get an error message: "An error occurred extracting the update script"

Any ideas? I've got to figure this thing out so I can get my old phone in the mail back to VZW.

are you trying to flash system,kernal,everything or just the update. correct me if I am wrong but I don't think the update has everything in it.

Just flashed LRQ over LR6 with mobile Odin, without any problem

Only one strange thing : flashing stopped in recovery mode (seems so), display was :
"Manual mode / Applying multi-CSC / Applied the csc-code : XEF (ok for me) / Successfully applied multi-csc"

I choosed "manual reboot" (default choice) and all went fine.

When flashing CF-root 6.4 with the this new version it reboots into recovery.In the apps the CWM manager icon does not even show up anymore.
In the previous version you could at least get into CWM recovery by means of the CWM icon.
Now you have to shutdown and do the 3 button exercise.
Or did I miss something ?

I`m on SGS3 LI4 by the way.

The problem of Mobile odin is resolved with v3.30, but after flash the phone restart in android system recovery for multi-CSC installation.
Samsung Galaxy S II I9100, WWLPX 4.0.4 rom.

I was going to format my external SD card to check if was a problem with it and was afraid something happened to my internal SD, but I don't think so now, since 3.10 doesn't bring any issues here!

Tomorrow I will check if Mobile Odin Pro 3.30 is still causing this issue here. I was using 3.10, but just saw the new version on Google Play and updated immediately.

I think 3.25 introduced some issues to Galaxy Note users... =/

That is actually normal (and expected) behavior when flashing a ROM with CSC ... if you had done this with desktop ODIN, the same thing would happen, but it would automatically reboot, that's the only difference.

Ahh.. Thank you. Now I'm a bit more interested in purchasing it on the market.

It isn't really clear that it works for this phone. It is not listed as a supported phones in the original post.

after i flashed LPX and siyah 4.1.4 using PC odin app, everything seems to be working fine. but one thing i noticed, is that when i try to open the mobile odin pro app after, it just keeps saying 'checking superuser support' and the next time 'detecting device model'. i tried installing the app 'superuser' from the market, still this problem persists. please advise wat might be wrong.

Galaxy ACE S5839i

Hi here is a dump taken from the new Galaxy ACE S5839i not to be be confused with the Galaxy ACE S5830i although may be the same??

To obtain clockwork recovery on this device requires CW flashing each and every time you nee to access it from built in recovery method so no permanent CW recovery as yet.

Do you have SuperSU on your phone together with SuperUser?
They might conflict. Stay with SuperSU ...
