[Q] I made the mistake of trying OTA on my rooted phone, how do I fix it?
I understand it's a stupid newbie mistake. I guess I've learned the hard way. I have an HTC One that I purchased unlocked which I then rooted and installed the Google Edition HTC One ROM onto. Everything was cool until today when they rolled out the 4.3 update, which I stupidly proceeded to download. Now my phone turns on, but after the "HTC quietly brilliant" screen it just shuts off, then will soon on its own turn on again and it will just be an endless cycle. I DO have access to recovery. So:
- Phone turns on, then shuts off, then will repeat endlessly by itself
- HBOOT is accessible if I hold Volume Down
- Recovery is accessible (I have CWM 188.8.131.52)
Please tell me there is a way to fix this
Even if I have to wipe my phone.
