I want to do 3 or 4 things essentially. I need to stream Netflix at high quality, be able to playback music/videos locally on a USB, and control volume remotely (tablet).
Can it do these things--assuming I am willing to put in the work necessary?
Others will have to fill in my blanks:
- Netflix requires a hacked app (Nexus Q is unsupported device), I haven't seen one that does 1080p.
- All you need is a USB OTG cable and some form of visible interface on the screen (stock, rooted + launcher or CM10.1 or other)
- Many use Droidmote Server (on Q) + Droidmote Client (on tablet). I use this combo and it works great for controlling the Q remotely (mouse, gamepad, video controls)
I listen to music via Pandora or 8tracks, watch Hulu Plus (not HD), and watch 1080p movies (MXPlayer Pro + proper codecs) on my Q nearly every day with the above recommendations.
