Help with flashing AOSP ROMs
I have two Nexus 7 2013 models. One is a 32gb model I got from Best Buy; the other is a 16gb model from the play store. I have tried repeatedly to flash one of the AOSP ROMs on the 32gb model and have even flashed the factory images from google to wipe the tablet but the same thing happens. Every time I flash the ROM and add in any gapps package, the tablet will soft reboot on trying to access the location service. I've wiped everything on the tablet to the point where TWRP says there is no OS and then adb pushed the rom and the gapps package to the /sdcard/ and flashed. I am not restoring from backups at all so I cannot think there is something from a TiBu backup which causes the problem. If I stick with the factory image or a ROM based on the factory image or update, things are great on the tablet. I can flash a new kernel, root it, do all the usual stuff.
I've tried a number of different gapps packages like the goo.im and the Banks ones. A few developers have hinted its some issue with the gapps packages or some strange interaction on the 32gb tablet specifically.
Turning to the wisdom on Q&A for any help.
