[Q] Help! Callers complain about very poor sound quality: might be mic + case-related
I've recently moved from a SGS3 to GN2 and I've noticed that people I talk to are constantly complaining about the poor sound quality, including echo of their own voice and cracks... on my side (GN2) the call sound quality is great...
So I did some closer tests, and figure out that yes there is some echo on the caller side, but not always.
But worse, the caller hears a lot of cracking and scratching sounds... and I just realised that this is when I move my phone or move my hand/fingers along the case (I have a cheap silicone case covering the back and side of the phone).
When I remove the silicone case, the annoing scratches and cracks (caused by my fingers manipulating the phone) are almost gone !
So, I'm seeking for:
- advice about a good protective case that wouldn't create amplification of sounds in the mic, notably when I touch the case or move a finger around it
- a way to reduce mic sensitivity during calls, because the GN2 seems to capture the faintest noise and amplifies it to the caller...
Please help because this is killing me, I don't dare to use my GN2 for phone calls
Other than that, I love my GN2 !
