How to ask questions, when a new user cant post in dev forum?

How am I supposed to ask a dev a specific question in regards to his ROM if I can't post in the dev forum? Some devs won't answer tech questions when PM'd. I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. And yes I searched, there's no answer in the thread and it's over 100 pages long. Most don't have the time to ready every page in cases like that.

If you dont have time then stop now. You will soon have a very pretty paperweight. If you want a question answered and can't post in dev's thread then post in qa. If you take some time to learn those ten posts go up really fast.

first all you need is 10 measly posts to be gain access to posting in the DEV section, it really isn't that hard to do. Skim the Q&A section or the general section for threads you think you could help or add your .02 cents to and you'll hit 10 in no time.

Secondly (and probably more important) there is a Q&A section for a REASON, start a thread saying "Need help with _____ on _____ ROM for ___ version of the Tab2" maybe someone will see it and answer and if not atleast your one post closer to the 10 and it's not some useless junk post like this thread.

I'm realizing that those 10 posts go up pretty fast. However, I've been talking to myself in the QA section now for 3 days. :/ It's rather discouraging to say the least. I haven't bricked my other tab or 3 phones I've rooted, rom'd and kernel'd...yet. So I doubt ending up with a pretty paper weight is likely to happen. I'm too meticulous to rush something like this, knowing what the consequences can be.


At this point, I don't even remember what this specific question was about unfortunately. Oh well, it'll come back sooner or later. Probably later once I've got a nice setup running that I don't want to change.

Can't you PM the Dev? I mean if all else fails..
