I would agree. I've used ICS MIUI and Abduction, and if I had to choose one, I would say Abduction. I'm still gonna stick to MIUI-203020 Gingerbread right now though. It's absolutely flawless.

If you do really want to give Abduction a try, go to Hanger84.net and get the latest release he has up. I believe it is still v1.82 which is what I used for about 3 days with really no issues. The only reason I went back to Gingerbread MIUI is, I just love MIUI.

I like the latest cm9 nightly. No issues and faster than abduction. Loving the battery life it is awesome. Just wish I could watch my MLB on my phone on cm9. I gotta switch back to cm7 just to watch a game and it sucks.

I used abduction 1.81 from march (I think) to last friday.

Either way Hanger did a great job
Pros:
Stability (about 1-2 hot reboot a day, which was better than the deck i was coming from)
Stock rom feel
Battery life
Cons
Stability (1-2 reboots a day is still quite a bit)
No new release for a while (I believe hanger had other things to worry about...)


I switched to cm9 just to try something new.
It is more stable and faster than abduction
But so far, I am missing a couple things from stock. Like the app uninstall on long press from app drawer.
I flashed incredikernel beta 2 with it. I never tried the stock kernel with it so I cannot comment on that.
Had 0 hot reboot using the gallery or the camera. Just the usual occasional hot reboot when unplugging from wall charger.

Both are great roms. Abduction offered more customization IMO but was a bit less stable.

I forgot to mention, so far, I find battery life to be less good on CM9 than on abduction.
This may be due to HWA.

That is dependent on the launcher, and not necessarily the ROM.

I just looked into it.
Abduction had apex launcher by default.
I may be wrong but I believe CM9 has trebuchet launcher by default.

I downloaded apex launcher on my CM9 rom and went to it, trying to uninstall an app by long press from the app drawer and indeed the uninstall is there on apex.

Any idea if this can be changed on trebuchet? I was using that as my primary way of uninstalling apps

I've used both - Abduction has issues with freezing on removal from a charging source. That isn't just my experience. MIUI dinc development has stopped IIRC.

I've been on theCM9 builds....most recently 6/15 without any issues so far. Only known issue was MMS functionality which I solved by restoring an earlier version of the messaging app, and which may already be fixed in today's build. I did also have to install apex launcher, uninstall from the app drawer is just too sweet to give up .
