I manually charged my htc flyer battery, and it worked
while i was playing with my htc flyer (rooting it, downgrading android version so i can s-off it, flashing roms, ...) my battery went completely empty in between of installing a kernel so nothing was telling my flyer to charge the battery when its plugged...
whenever the flyer was plugged (usb or ac) it was stuck in a hboot boot loop and whenver i disconnect the cable it just dies at the same moment... so it goes in hboot and restarts and go again in hboot and restarts again.
I watched a video on youtube on how to replace the htc flyer battery and i decided to open the flyer and removed the battery and decided to charge only the battery (without the tablet itself)...
i just tried this and it worked
pic 1: open HTC Flyer and remove the battery
pic 2: get a spare usb cable and cut it (in my case, i used my old logitech G5 mouse)
pic 3: strip the 4 wires from your usb cable
pic 4: use any flat tool to put each cable in its matching color (i used a small flat screwdriver like the ones we use to repair watches or glasses)
pic 5: connect the usb proximity to the usb charger
pic 6: make sure to use electrical tape so you don't burn down your house
pic 7: wasted my old G5 mouse even if i can try to fix it by connecting the wires and tape them
i let it charge for at least 6-7 hours to be sure it's fully charged then i inserted the battery back in my flyer and now it's working again
