I recently bought a used att s3 and am having a horrific experience trying to connect it to windows 7. I've installed kies, uninstalled, installed latest and version 184.108.40.206 Samsung drivers, installed drivers thru the toolkit. Nothing will get it recognized. Only charges. Is connected twice but didn't last long. Today I replaced the board with the microsd and sim slot. Now my sd card mounts and works. I've tried on my macbook air with bootcamp as well as a genuine home build pc running win 7. Tried several cables. Even a samsung cable. My previous s3 only like a spacific cable and this ones first driver install worked with that cable. But not anymore. Ordered a samsung cable that comes with these phone so I hope that works. I've tried everything online I think. All i wanna do is downgrade, root, and install custom recovery.
