[Q] Soft brick/boot loop question

Hi,

My s3 is stuck in a boot loop. I'm running cm10. I can get back to download mode and use Odin, so I think I can flash back to stock, but is there anyway to recover my data? I can't think of a way to get data off the internal sd card without wiping everything via Odin.

Go back to cwm and restore the backup you made before flashing

I can't boot back into cwm. If I connect via USB the phone displays the battery icon with the green circle and then reboots.

Any other ideas?

Use Odin to reflash.

You have to get back into cwm to reflash.

I can get it into download mode, so I should be able to use Odin to flash it to something. Can I flash back a cm10 rom or should I flash back to a stock, rooted rom like here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1840030 ?

I pulled the battery, put it back in, and did vol up + home + power. Samsung logo comes up (really quickly), then Samsung Galaxy S 3 logo for a long time (20ish seconds) then it reboots. Can't get it past that.

Strange, well all you can Odin is stock or there jelly bean leak. I don't think there is custom ROMs for Odin here. I guess you could Odin cwm back into your phone, seems like you're missing your recovery. But I would just return to stock and start over
