Is there a way to lower me in call volume over speakerphone, even lower than the lowest volume?

There is an app on the market called "Volume Control +" by Euphony Ringtones. It allows you to control all system volumes including in call volume. You can give that a try.

I tried it earlier today and it uses the same values as stock volume control, as did about 4 others :(
