I just tested it on my ME525(Defy in China).
As a linux admin, I'm always looking for something can help me to login to my phone from my laptop. After some google search and testing on dropbear, SSHDroid, but dropbear is not working out, and I cannot get SSHDroid, and also, I don't like Ad.
Finally, I found this one: DroidSSHd on google code.

Although I didn't get me logged in successfully :mad: ( authentication passed, but connection closed by my phone, I'm asking the reason on their website ) , but I must say: this is a awesome app on android, and if anyone of you can have a try and succeed, that would be great!

SSHDroid won't run if you have a modified hosts file. This is purportedly to prevent it from running on systems that have ads blocked, but also locks out anyone who has modified their hosts file without ad blocking.

I would have bought the pro version if the developer hadn't been a prick about it. Now I'll be sure to avoid anything he wries.

Thanks for your sharing, I just use the modified host file. But Have you used the Debian on defy? it doesn't work ... But i don't know why..

Tried sshdroid to but I got no ads app had to switch to quicksshd the paid version works like a charm : )

Me too, QuickSSHd, based on OSS dropbear sshd and actively maintained,

I need a ckean dropbear install with sftp. I ripped it from sshdroid but now I am stuck with the fact that dropbear is statically linked to SFTP in /data/data/berserker.android.apps.sshdroidpro/dropbear/

Does anybody have a clean dropbox with sftp for me that does not have this drawback. I really hate having files spread alover the place and for now I had to solve this with a symlink in the formentioned location.
