hey jjkkyu, i just installed your newest update.
but i can't replace the home apk with 3 home screen which i always use on your rom before.
when i tried to replace the original home.apk, my phone goes start to booting and then bootloop..
now i'm back to 1.5b while waiting for your solution

You must install it via Recovery, just create a zip or use another that you have already...

btw jjkkyu, can you add Swipe to Remove notifications?

Really? Because on 1.5b ver. I can replace the home.apk from root explorer and no bootloops.
Also, I didn't know how to make a zip file for recovery

Wow...

At first was hesitating to install this as i was on nxt v.1.2 dtry decided meh just to it then i just installed straight over the top forgot sbout the instructions and it work.... all i have to say is wow... amazingly fast smooth and just incredible.... thank you.... also one more thing does anyone know where i can get a stock GB theme for this rom???? thatr works?

thanks for all the great updates and efforts to Xperia Play, Ive enjoyed your ROM well.

but since we will be stuck at no updates from Sony itself, Ive decided to let go of the device. I'm planning to buy a Nexus 7 for gaming and performance.

Ive switched to Galaxy Nexus for the meantime, its cheap and I can enjoy updates directly from Google and xda developers as well.

Thanks to everyone, saying goodbye to this thread now. =)

I have a R800a bootloader unlocked, the last DoomKernel for GB, TrueAncestor 1.6 (also with 1.5b used to fail)

It's the only real problem I have found in this rom. I've been playing Virtua Tennis and Lara Croft pretty well. Everything seems to work here, data, wifi, camera, video recording and playback, gamepad, touchpads, everything. I already got tired of testing ICS roms where there is always something wrong or laggy, and GB roms where either touchpad or circle button didnt worked, etc.

So, a solution for this problem would be perfect. Thank for this awesome rom :cowboy:

Icon refresh when returning to home screen?

Hey Jjkkyu awesome awesome job with this ROM. I have a question for you. I'm running 1.6LE and for some reason, maybe about 80% of the time, when I hit the home button, it seems like there is a slight lag, like the icons on the home screen have to refresh. They disappear and then reappear one by one. Its like a 1.5 second lag. It's not ahuge problem, but I don't remember it on the other TrueAncestor ROMs. Thanks for your help! :cyclops:

I have been pointed in the direction of this rom as the best for smoothness and least lag/jitter when using emulators on, can anyone confirm this?

For smoothness ill reccomend you Gingerbread2Jellybean rom on the system but in the apps performance they are identical but what I love about this rom is that it gives a classic Xperia feeling, I just mean it feels and works like an Xperia though I have an issue, I cannot use my own custom keyboard on it.

Edit : I had to unistall both stock keyboards to be able to use it and I don't understang why the phone is set to 921Mhz by default, that makes it really laggy on this rom but after overclock it works just great.

It's awesome and so fast :good:
i can play TDKR with no lag n it ran smooth

but i have a small problem in here.. When my phone is turned off and i plug it in to charge, it automatically turns on. No matter what, if it is plugged in charging, the phone is on. any help?

wifi does not work on doomkernel even with his wifi modules and additional fixes such as ect too bad this rom lookes so good too

sir jjkkyu awesome rom, very slick and lightweight, everything is great except for the superuser

i followed the instructions on how to install it but still got the problems (r800i)

this is what i did:

1. i Flashed the .58 enhanced fw
2. i rooted it using zergRush
3. flashed Doomkernel (v14) = i did this to get the CWM (of course cause i also want doomkernel)
4. then i DL and installed via CWM the v1.6 LE and Minimizer
5. flash dooms Wifi modules
6. i flash baseband to -36 + cwm the base Lib (i didn't wipe the cache and dalvik , cause if i did ~ it will go on a bootloop)

then im done everything is smooth got 380+mb internal storage (awesome), but when i update the superuser it says:

"error: package file was not signed correctly, . . . .. ."

and then i DL the SU update fix , and it still fails, . . . .

i thought i fixed it by unrooting using the superoneclick unroot then root it up again , it updates and i got it to the latest version , no problems i got to work with titanium and other rooted apps no problem , but when i reboot it goes back to the Original Error

can you help me pls. , i also tried what you said that go back to 1.2 but i don't see a DL link ~ pls. help sir

p.s. tnx for the keyboard link it much faster now,

I cannot seem to change my default keyboard with this rom I am trying to use swype or some other keyboard but the keyboard is staying on default can somone please tell me how? thanks :laugh:

Long press on text input on Messaging , then --> Input Method.

With stock kernel it works

Now i have random reboots with doomkernel, more often when connected with pc, even with usb mounted on recovery.
